It's funny how often people throw the word 'blind' in before 'hate'. 'Blind hate' and 'hate' are two very different things. History, and human nature, has proven to us that communism does not work. Only angsty teens that have no grasp of economics or psychology would expect communism to work. But then again, I am on b.net.

The people who work for a living will eventually stop working because the people who don't work earn exactly what THEY do. And the lazy people won't start working because they earn what workers do, without working. The end result=chaos.

Because of the American, Nixon propaganda has seeped through the generations. Even to my generation and the ones after with media like Red Alert, such things were still putting ideas into our minds.

Because 1. It never works. It relies on the false notion that everyone is a perfect little angel and that utopia is an actual place 2. Hitler and his -godwinslaw!- (yes yes, Godwin's law and such).

Edited by Cultmeister: 3/5/2013 5:28:29 PM
It relies on the false notion that everyone is a perfect little angel
nope. it relies on the notion that people can learn not to be greedy.

Which we both know never happens. Corruption always happens in every type of government, and communism relies on people not being corrupted which is just stupid. Plus, if you take everyone's money away, they're not going to work. Ideally, people would still work, but that's just not going to happen. A 5 year old can understand that.

there are so many assumptions in that post it's retarded.
-
Please elaborate instead of just saying I'm retarded. And you honestly think that it's a false assumption to believe that if you take everyone's money away that they'll still willingly work?
2. Hitler and his -godwinslaw!- (yes yes, Godwin's law and such).
You are confusing Hitler with Joseph Stalin. Hitler and his party were fascists and they hated Communism.
The key reason for the existence of the -godwinslaw!- party was to fight Communism. The anti-semitism of the -godwinslaw!- was closely linked to the high proportion of Jews in the early leadership of the Soviet Union (later purged by Stalin) and the perceived role of Jews in the revolution of 1918-19 in Bavaria. (Initially, the -godwinslaw!- were mainly a Bavarian party). The recent zest for regarding Nazism as some form of socialism is at odds with the views of nearly all historians of the period. Moreover, for the most part it's a very recent trend. It's also polemical (one-sided and used in order to make a point). If one wants to draw attention to similarities in the way Fascist and Communist regimes function one can talk about totalitarianism. Both types of regimes tried, for example, to politicize vast areas of everyday life. Germany is over 65% Christian, and it was more Christian in the past. The pope was in the Hitler youth, and everyone had to take an oath to Hitler. Due to the large amount of Christianity in Germany, many Germans feared that the communists would come by and take their religion away, which may have proved true as in Soviet-Occupied East Germany the number of religious people significantly decreased.
If you think that Stalin was a Commie, then I'm a rabbit's left buttock. From what I can tell, he was just as much of a Fascist loonie as Hitler.
-
Hitler wasn't communist. I don't hate communism. I enjoy the idea of it. It's a great idea on paper, like socialism, but since the idea doesn't take into account human corruption and everyone pretty much "dog eat dog world" style, then of course it's not great in practice. Just because it isn't great in practice doesn't mean that it's a valid idea.
-
Pretty sure that Hitler hated communism. Communism != Fascism.
-
I know he hated communism, but I should have been more specific. A large majority somehow think that Hitler was communist simply because people associate communism with evil people. Consequently, Hitler was evil... so he must have been communist.
-
I wonder what "Nazi" actually means. . . oh yeah, "National Socialism."
-
I hardly believe that a German speaking nation would make an English acronym.

Edited by Garland: 3/6/2013 10:18:14 PM
The full name of Adolf Hitler's party was Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei (National Socialist German Workers' Party). The shorthand Nazi was formed from the first two syllables of the German pronunciation of the word "national"
Edited by Uncle Putin: 3/6/2013 10:24:03 PMYou should have been more specific because I thought you were saying that N a zi was an acronym in English for National Socialism. That's why I was doubting you. How did you pass the blocker?
