why would I "love" someone when they sit around, leach off the system, and contribute nothing to their fellow mankind?
English
-
Because they're humans.
-
So? I love my dog more than 99% of humans on the earth. Whats your point?
-
All humans have the right to love, respect, and life, regardless of how much they "contribute".
-
They have the right to life. But only if they can support themselves in that life. Survival of the fittest my man
-
Social Darwinism is the most flawed and cruel theory ever thought up.
-
because pro-tip: life is cruel and flawed. it's fantasy to think people are not inherently flawed.
-
I dont see how. You have to help yourself. You cant just mooch of off everyone else.
-
We have the duty to help others. Granted, I'm not perfect, but I try.
-
Wheres this duty stated?
-
Our only duty should be to help those who want to better themselves. Not the people who sit around doing nothing because they expect others to help them.
-
We have the duty to help any human. If the goal is global happiness and peace, nothing less will do.
-
And "global happiness and peace" will only be achieved if everyone works toward the same goal. If only a few are working toward it, and the rest are sitting around getting handouts and giving nothing back, then it will never be achieved.
-
Be the change you wish to see in the world.
-
sorry, but there is this thing called "reality"... it doesn't work with your ideology. it takes a nation of millions to achieve change- Public Enemy.
-
I'd rather be the change I wish to see in my pocket. Because no matter what I do in my life, I know it won't change the world, but it will determine how much money I have and the quality of my life because I worked hard for it.
-
And that's your choice. Charity isn't required, or else it wouldn't be charity. But remember: while you may not be able to change the world, you can still change a life.
-
The only life I care to change is my own. But maybe once I'm living comfortably, I'll consider trying to help others. But even then I'll only help those who help themselves, not the leeches of society.
