Right now I think this is the best idea. We'll have the main events on a weekly basis if they become popular enough. But right now we are aiming for every other week.
You can make your own event every day though, if you want that. Use this group as much as you want. It's just that the main carnage event, set up by the administrators of this group, will happen on a biweekly basis.
Just remember... we had bi-weekly back before the Darkness for a bit. Interest died down because they were too frequent. If it happened then, it may very well happen again. It's a concern.
We've tried multiple lobby carnages too, and generally speaking they can only be maintained if there's a significant event going on- like the release of a Bungie game, Bungie Day... that kind of thing. Something to get enough people to show up, you know?
At that time it was. It wasn't that we didn't have the manpower. It was that the interest wasn't there after like three tries. It's a concern.
Then again, the new forum layout might be better at getting people aware of the thread. So... the concern might no longer be valid. That's also a possibility.
I present both, but I do honestly feel concern about the two week frequency. I'd personally suggest a month, then extras for special events (releases, unique games [maybe], Bungie Day, etc.). But there's probably little harm in trying the bi-weekly again then switching after it doesn't work (IF it doesn't). It might very well no longer be a problem.
