This is how it'd go down. Let's say they're fighting in a warehouse, 'cause that's the first place that came to mind.
Batman would be stalking John, in the shadows. After watching him for weaknesses, Batman would descend on him. John, seeing a dot on his tracker, would spin, ready to fire, but Batman would already be closing in on him. John would throw a punch that Batman would dodge, and Batman would punch him in the visor, cracking it.
Chief rolls backward to get room to fire, but Batman would cut his rifle in half with a thrown batarang. Drawing his sidearm in an eyeblink, John takes aim and fires, and Batman is forced to take cover behind some boxes.
After running out of bullets, John would load another mag and begin closing in on Batman's position. He'd look around at where Batman was hiding...and find nothing.
Suddenly, a cord wraps around John from behind, and with a pull, Batman yanks him off balance, but not off his feet. John spins, breaking free, and lands a solid punch to the gut. Batman is disoriented, but not too badly injured, and he sidesteps another swing and counters with a punch to John's already broken visor, shattering it and sending bits of reinforced glass into John's eyes.
Another few minutes of punching, and John's down for the count.
And that's a how a fight between those two would go down.

This is how it'd go down. Let's say they're fighting in a warehouse, 'cause that's the first place that came to mind. Batman would be stalking John, in the shadows. After watching him for weaknesses, Batman would descend on him. John, seeing a dot on his tracker, would spin and fire all in one smooth motion and batman would be lying on the ground dead 12m (assuming MC's radar has a range of 15m) from where MC stood. How it would actually go.
-
John, seeing a dot on his tracker
Batman, being caught on a motion tracker. That's rich. The fictional master of stealth, being blown by a simple motion tracker that can be fooled by crouching and has a 15m radius. Batman, whose entire character relies on stealth and cunning, not simply fooling the motion tracker by making something move that isn't him, jamming it, or avoiding it.
would spin and fire all in one smooth motion and batman would be lying on the ground dead
Batman, being shot by someone he's got his eyes on. Batman, who specializes in armed gunmen. Batman, who dodges bullets by accident as a routine. Batman, who contends with and constantly demolishes Deadshot, whose super-power is not missing. Being shot by Chief.
-
I admit, the only reason I had John catch him at all was so it didn't seem like a total stomp in Batman's favor.
-
Batman's dodged bullets in the past. Even if John could turn and accurately shoot before Batman closed in, he still wouldn't land even one bullet on Batman's bulletproof armor.
-
Edited by Froggert: 2/26/2013 10:52:34 PMOf course he wouldn't hit him in the "bullet-proof" armor, he'd hit him the soft flesh of his skull. And there is no Batman should be able to dodge bullets. Not even MC could dodge bullets and he is an actual supersoldier. Also: It's likely that MC's gun (an Assault Rifle in this case, decided by me) would be strong enough to penetrate the bulletproof armor that Batman has seeing as Master Chief is from 2557.
-
DC's 2557 =/= DC's 2557, and Batman's tech >>> anything the UNSC could shit out. Fat Man 3000 provided scans of Batman dodging bullets, so that point's done.
-
I think you have problems distinguishing fantasy from reality. People cannot dodge bullets, case closed.
-
People cannot fight aliens on space donuts with their imaginary friends, either. Case closed.
-
I never referenced space aliens OR space donuts. I only talked about advanced technology that IS possible in the future. Batman dodging bullets would never be possible /case still closed.
-
It's fiction. They have people gaining superpowers and godlike aliens coming to Earth, and you say Batman dodging bullets is unrealistic? Obviously, realism is never a factor to begin with, so yes, Batman can damn well dodge bullets and is damn well faster than Johnny.
-
You continually disregard what I'm saying. The fact that there are aliens with godlike powers in Halo DOESN'T MATTER, because the fight isn't between the Didact and Batman, it's between John and Batman and last I checked John isn't a forerunner.
-
I thought it was pretty obvious I wasn't talking about the Didact. "Godly" doesn't describe him anyway. Words like "wuss" and "easily beaten" are more accurate.
-
Once again you completely dodge the point I was making.
-
I addressed every point you had in that last post, but whatever. Yeah, it's John up against Batman. Batman's faster, smarter, and more skilled. But you deny this by saying 'PEEPUL CANT DODG BULITZ SO BATTYMAN LOOZES'. Guess what? It's fiction. Doesn't have to be realistic. Batman can dodge all the bullets he wants and it'd still be canon. So yeah, he'd dodge if John tried shooting him, and then he'd close in and kick John's pale ass.
-
A) Batman's suit it bullet proof B) He's fast enough to dodge bullets.
-
A) Headshot B) No he's not
-
Yes he can Exhibit A Exhibit B Exhibit C Exhibit D Exhibit E Oh and he can dodge shots from Deadshot, the world's greatest assassin and with Batman the only person he's ever missed.
-
Problem is: That's bull-shit movie logic. In a battle that even resembled realism he would not be able to dodge bullets. It's not humanly possible for a human to dodge bullets from under a range of however many meters (15 is definitely within that range), especially if they don't have any sort of genetic modification or super-suit or anything like that.
-
Movie? What about the comic scans? And unrealistic or not, it happens and he can do it.
-
A) As if John could get an accurate shot on Batman. B) I'll give you scans if you want.
-
A) He could seeing as he was trained from the age of 6 and is now a genetically augmented supersoldier that has far superior reflexes, co-ordination, strength, and any other physical attribute; than Batman. B) I saw Fat Man's Also Fat Man: I confess to only clicking on the first link originally, but I have now seen all of them and it's still impossible. But I'm done arguing with you because you refuse to accept facts.
-
A) Superior reflexes? When Batman can dodge a punch from Superman? And yes, humanly it is impossible. But so what? So is moving faster than light, travelling through time. This shit happens almost frequently in Comic Books
-
Master Chief could dodge the punch from Superman too, only better.
-
I don't think there's any possible way you can prove that
-
Sure he could, his reaction time is faster and he's physically faster than Batmans; therefore, if Batman could dodge the punch, John could do it better.
