So we're going to save the Captain, but what after? Gotta plan and prepare for the future, ya know?
Well, as Lieutenant Commander, I suggest that we capture the ship. It would offer us some protection and it would be simple to procure weapons that the Covenant left behind. Sure, we would have heavy losses in clearing the damn thing out, but overall we'll be better prepared for the eventually takeover of this... Ring thingy.

As I said to Private Dubbo, we don't have the rescources to simultaneously hold an asset of this size and fight a guerilla war against the Covenant here. We'll have to find a less conspicuous mode of transport. This is what I advise Lieutenant Commander, I trust my recommendation meets with your approval?

Interesting. I hadn't thought about that. So, what in your opinion, would be the best course of action relating to this ship? It would be inadvisable to leave it capable of travel. So would it be a suitable move to deactivate the drive-core for an extended period of time? Maybe smash up the control room a bit so they focus on the ships systems for the time being? *peeks head around a rock to look at the Gravity Lift* How many Covies do they have, anyway?

Edited by Elegiac: 2/21/2013 5:08:56 PMI would advise doing both, since you mention it Lieutenant Commander. As for the forces guarding the grav lift, I'd estimate a couple of hundreds at the most. More if we don't rush them quickly and cut through whatever's near enough to deal with us piecemeal. They shouldn't be able to flood the lift all at once though, unless they want to throw away every tactical advantage. Wait, what's that? ....Alert! Covenant Dropships are inbound! So much for doing things the easy way...

On the actual ship? No idea. On the ground we've got elites, grunts, jackals and an unconfirmed report of hunters.
