That picture was funny, but religious people are just as if not more whiny than the person in the picture.

Edited by NaLo: 2/21/2013 1:42:03 PMTheist logic: Gravity on Jupiter can be compared to the existence of a specific God! We KNOW Jupiter has gravity! We can measure it we can see the moons orbiting around Jupiter. So yes gravity on Jupiter seems very logical. The existence of a God (not just any God but your religion's God) is extremely illogical!

lol typical atheist getting all buttmad.
-
As opposed to? HAHAHA! Religious people are just as bad if not worse.
-
I never said they weren't. I'm an atheist and I don't get all butt mad like you weak minded -blam!-
-
That wasn't the point of the comic though. The point was that one guy openly chooses to believe in something illogical and he's not only getting insulted for it, but he's also being demonized like he's the bad guy. I have nothing against Atheism, but almost every Atheist I have met (in real life and online) has been exactly like the guy in the comic.
-
But the comic is dumb! I argue against those with wicked believes because I dislike lunacy. If you met a -godwinslaw!- or a holocaust denier wouldn't you try get him/her to to change his/her mind?
-
Well the latter example is iffy. There are certain inaccuracies about the Holocaust that is illegal to challenge even though they don't add up. There's nothing wrong in someone believing in God. How does that make him loony? A lot of the greatest people that ever lived believed in God. The guy in the comic did nothing but say what he believed in and suddenly he's not the victim, he's the ass hole. That's illogical also.

A lot of great people have believed in silly things. But just because their right about something else doesn't mean they're right about religion. And religion is the reason we can't have nice things. The truth will set you free but the religious will set you on fire
And religion is the reason we can't have nice things.
Religion has inspired many things. The Renaissance and Romantic period would have never happened if it weren't for Religion. Music, Theater, Entertainment, all started by reenacting events from The Bible and expanded from there. Claiming Religion is bad is horrible inaccurate. Religion has been falsely accused of starting wars when in actuality, it was peoples own selfishness and personal reasons. Religion keeps getting the blame has being the source of problems when it's humanity. There is nothing wrong with it.
-
Religion was good but religion is bad. Got it?
-
No. You can't use extremists as justification of generalizing Religiously devoted individuals. If that were the case, no one would trust their local priests in fear of being called a Heretic just for asking questions and trying to understand your faith when that's the whole point. You can't blame Religion for the Radicals when the vast majority of the people do not behave that way. One bad apple does not spoil the tree in this case.
-
But one bad apple poisons the juice. Religion is the most powerful tool you can use if you want people to follow your vision (good or bad). Just look at suicide bombers, WBC, KKK, etc. Religion is not necessarily in a modern world. And for the moment it does more bad than good.
-
And how is that?
