Why should they announce platforms that weren't announced yet? makes no sense.

Why would people pre-order for consoles that won't be current gen when the game comes out? It would make sense to not send out pre-order cards until the consoles are announced. This is all assuming that Destiny is a primarily next gen game. I'm pretty sure that's what we've all been hoping.

Why? let me give you a few reasons. First of all, no consoles were announced yet and no one knows if they are coming out in 2013. Secondly this game is pretty much a current-gen game which later will probably receive a port to new consoles, with improved graphics... Bungie spent a ton of money to build this game, the Budget of the game is around 140 million dollars (they might not require all that but who knows) according to the leaked contract, so they want a lot of people to buy it... the PS3/X360 combined have sold around 150 million consoles, the next Xbox and PS consoles will have a small install base in the first years. Sure, some people will wait for next-gen consoles to buy this game... some don't want to wait and want to play as soon as it launches. Makes sense to me.
