Of course. There's nothing that same-sex couples cannot provide that a hetero couple can.

They can't provide a both a mother AND father. Just saying.... Although, I see no reason why they should not be allowed to adopt, though.

Did you even read the OP?

Edited by Mad Max: 2/15/2013 1:57:28 AMI did, and I answered your question. There's no difference between a same-sex couple and a hetero couple. Mothers aren't always loving and compassionate, and fathers aren't always disciplinary and good teachers. Those things aren't based in gender; it's based in personality.

There's no difference between a same-sex couple and a hetero couple.[/quote] While I do personally believe that being a gay couple doesn't inhibit a couples ability to be good parents, that statement is garbage. Men and women are different, your gender preference does not change that. A woman will have different capabilities as a mother than a man would, and a man will have difference capabilities as a father than a woman would. That isn't including the laundry list of potential challenges faced by a child with same-gender parents.

So it's no different from a single parent raising a child.

No, actually, those are two very different scenarios.
