What do you guys think about making your followers public? I think it adds a little too much of a popularity factor on the site, similar to titles did in the old site. I think it works great for social networking, but for the general use of the forums, I think there should at least be an option to make your follower number invisible. Those who don't have a lot of followers may not want to display the number and those who have a lot may also want to keep that info private to avoid pre-judgement.

2 RepliesThe amount of followers or the title you have shouldn't matter and if people try to judge you because of it, just don't let it get to you. People should recognize you by your attitude and post quality. I haven't ever recognized someone because of the title they had, I recognized them because of their post and threads around b.net. If you don't have a ton of followers don't be ashamed, you're still cool to me.

1 ReplyI hate all of my followers.

2 RepliesEdited by Recon Number 54: 2/14/2013 11:42:21 PMIMO following is more about helping the followers find content (of interest to them) than it is about the ego, status, or e-Peen of the followed. With that said and to relate to the OP's pic.
I have binders of followers.
Sorry, it had to be said.

Followers?

It gives me an ego boost so I'm okay with it.

The followers thing is just for fun; it just shows you who appreciates you on the forum. It's not like we're rigging a poll . . .

I don't care.

2 RepliesI don't think their's anything wrong with it. I'd like to see the system affect the experience more though.

So...many...stalkers.

Edited by Velocithon: 2/13/2013 8:38:54 PMI don't follow people, nor do I pay attention to who's following me. I just really don't care to even bother with that part of the update. So I guess, who really cares if it's public or not. *I did follow some people initially, but haven't in weeks.

Edited by halo: 2/13/2013 8:32:49 PMI don't even check or care about people's followers, I suggest you all do the same to keep our site from becoming really stupid and to stop people from creating threads for the sole reason of getting followers. EDIT: I have 0 followers :( please kill me. Actually I'm gonna make a funny three gais. Follow me @Toxifies #swag

meh...followers is good sign to see who actually cares about your threads, if there are even anyone. I followed almost every Mythix so I could see the blue right next to their thread. Dat Mythix Blue.

1 ReplyAnyone who thinks they are better because they have more followers are on the wrong website. No one should care how many followers each member has but I know that people do. We should look more at what they are posting rather than what titles/followers they have. Anyway followers are quite hidden, you have to click on their username to look. I get what you're saying but i'm happy how it is.
