I do it to be healthy, because even in the points of my life where i've been overweight I still get action.

Are you sure that's your only reason?

Basically. For me it's always been about my capabilities and health. Even when I was at 270 I could handle myself fairly well but my cardio was dipping so I had to shed a few and get more active. What I need to get better at is weight maintenance, as I will work-out to get to a target fitness level and then stop.

uhhhh dude... you can't just stop. I don't think that's how it works...

Which is why I acknowledge it as a problem that I need to overcome. Nearing 30, my ability to drop weight quickly is going to diminish, so I need much more personal discipline. Up until know i've just done the Oprah thing and had fluctuating weight.

why would you want to stop anyway?
-
Not really a want, more of a "ok, i'm here, no need to keep going". I've never had an aspiration to be mr. fitness, which is a stupid reason for being lazy for sure. I've started a new routine that I intend to stick to, and build upon indefinitely.

Well you need to keep your body going. You need to stay a well oiled machine. Build a machine and stop oiling it, it will rust and just fall apart so to speak. You get my point. If you work on your body, you will have to keep that work up.
