Have you ever performed any sociology research on us through your games without telling us? Like, would you make some small change or put something somewhere for no reason other than to see what we do?

Maybe barely tweaking a generally accepted mechanic in video games or shooters specifically (maybe with the physics or engine) and seeing how well people adapt to it and how it changes their play-style? Or were you thinking more along the lines of something akin to subliminal messages, ie putting a physical THING in the game and seeing how we react?

Well, we already know that Bungie already changes mechanics of their games to see how we react. I'm thinking more along the lines of changing the music that one team hears, and then seeing how the behavior of the players on that team changes. I'd like to know if there are any weird things that are consistent.

You'd think we'd know if there was a "blue team theme song" and a "red team theme song", wouldn't you? But, perhaps, ambient noise? Could that have enough of an effect on someone? I s'pose you're not the right person to ask but it's an interesting idea, I think. Maybe very low-volume timpani hits that are accentuated with a slightly louder hit every time someone gets a kill, a louder one still with each progressive kill streak tier achievement, only loud enough to be noticed by someone who gets in the running riot area? I mean, I don't think this is the case, but that'd be a neat experiment. And then a complete cutting out of the timpani beat when you die, to see if people notice the lack of noise and react to the removal of the steady beat of their gameplay, giving them further incentive to not die. I'm being highly speculative and tangential at this point, but I'm not very good at truncating my ideas.
