I know that this question has been asked hundreds of times but really, if you could, what job would you like to do at Bungie?
I was just browsing the careers page and saw my dream job at Bungie; a Graphics Designer. Currently i'm in the Retail sector, however one of my hobbies is graphics design. Sure I can't do everything on that list but i'd love to design for a living and at the same time work for one of the best companies ever. One big problem though is that I live in the United kingdom!
I can only dream..
Anyway, I ask you all now, what would you like to do (if anything) at Bungie?

This would be cool: Datamine and Online Engineer

Well, I'd probably have to go with a writer. Pretty much every aspect of development sounds like an amazing job to me (except art/music, I suck at those). I'd love to do anything at Bungie from IT to wearing the MoCap suit, and everything in-between. Writing, cinematics, gameplay design, and programming are all very interesting subjects for me.

1 ReplyA Web Tester.

Test, I'd like to take all the wonderful features that the engineers produce and test the hell out of them to make sure they meet my standards.
-
Graphics Design would be the best for me.
-
Programming, or having any kind of input on audio. Would be fantastic.

Edited by Neph: 1/29/2013 12:35:08 AMWell if Bungie ever needed a pharmacist, I suppose I could give it a shot... Otherwise, not sure there's much in my area.

I personally wouldn't like my hobbies to become my job, it takes the fun out of it. I've been apart of a games degree course and I have to say that you have to be 100% dedicated. But to answer the question, I'd live to be a 3D animator or possibly a motion capture actor; that'd be awesome!

User Research or Economic/Player Investment. Building a world for players that they want to play in all the time (okay, more like reasonable amounts of time) intrigues me, but not quite as much as just why we play games. Looking at all the statistics behind the scenes for just simple things like "total playtime" would be absolutely amazing. Taking that and looking at other data to derive some some meaning...ah, I can dream. I just hope more studios begin to see the merits of having an economic designer. Econometrics is fun.

I dont have one. Totally outside my career path.

2 RepliesFor every man that is fired who works for Bungie is sent into the dungeon. In the darkest corner remains I, the punisher of all who misbehaves. First I apply a collar to the puny human, chaining him to the floor by his or her ankles immediately afterwards. While he or she lets out a blood curdling screech, I impale that particular human in the side, deflating one of their lungs so their very breaths will shorten. After they quiet down, I kick him or her to the floor, watching them claw away at the concrete as I squeeze the remaining air from their body by forcing my own weight onto their weak forms. Either that, or become the Sangheili greeter at the door.

A writer, animator, or someone that works with the community like the web team.
-
Either writing or Web Design. :)
-
something to do with biology and chemistry...

I'd be Master Chief Executive Officer. Or be on the writing team.

The buyer of the snacks and drinks. I would only buy spicy Doritos and Arnold Palmers

One big problem though is that I live in the United kingdom!
You should come move to beautiful downtown Bellevue. It's almost a full block's worth of big city livin'! OT: I'd like to get involved on the business/legal side.
-
If it involves writing, sure.
-
I have some experience with world/level design and wouldn't mind having a career that involved that.

7 RepliesGameplay Programmer. That is what I am working towards.
-
1 ReplyJanitor, that way I get to wander around in the background maintaining stuff and watching games get made without the stress of staying up for days coding.
-
I've been waiting for them to post a Health Educator or HSE job.

I wonder if Bungie has any information security specialists on staff, or if they contract that work out?
