Because the hashtag system is cluttered enough as it is, seeing as you have to either look at all your hashtags or just one.
That being said, there should be just one hashtag for the Flood, for the sake of continuity, i.e. various members of the old Flood follow different hashtags and the community suffers as a whole.
You can add a "+" to them so you can view them at the same time, and only those two tags at the same time. Teh puma saw a post on it yesterday, though he doesn't remember exactly how to do it. Shouldn't be too hard though.
I think you're thinking of how to add a random hashtag to your "Followed Tags."

If so, while it is a fix, it requires URL manipulation, which isn't nearly as convenient as it would be if was just a feature of the site.
I edited my OP recently - you can actually use the search bar to accomplish this as well. Regardless, multiple tags for the same thing shouldn't a be a thing because there's a tag limit on threads.
Nope. Someone posted it yesterday. Not sure how to find their thread but it's certainly possible.
The top of the... ermm... "forum" where the hashtags are should show "Flood + The Flood" when you use it.
