One thing the group could do is organize with chapters that are dedicated towards gaming. This wouldn't be for a chapter vs. chapter event, but would help target specific groups for games. For example, I am a part of an active Minecraft group. If we wanted to host a Community Carnage hunger games event (a short, aggressive kill-or-be-killed game), we could approach them and they could help us find users or possibly set up a server.
Just a thought to facilitate more, better performing events.

I'm all for this movement, gaming together is the ultimate community interaction. We all play games, we would not be here if we didn't. I think the more organizers the better, setting up and playing all types of games so more people get involved. Gaming with other members is the main reason I've stayed active on this site so I hope this can end up working well.

Edited by Tom T: 1/11/2013 10:35:11 PMThis is sort of what I hoped would be the result of the affiliates initiative that I started. Collaborating around the goal of having fun playing games, with an additional benefit of also drawing attention to the activities of different clubhouses, is certainly something I would like to see more of. Provided the carnage maintains good reputation, which will make it deserving of being followed, it could provide a great service for the community. Emphasis will have to be upon structure (ensuring events are spaced appropriately), and maintaining a high standard (consistently hosting reliable events of assured quality). This way it will become the community event HUB you're describing, whereby followers not only have a go-to place to play with the community at large, but a means of discovering groups that game together regularly.
