Installing motherboard and PC components
Flood, or all of bungie for that matter :P, I'm upgrading my MOBO in my computer from a microATX outdated MOBO to an ATX MOBO in a midtower case, I'm also upgrading my CPU from an FX 4100 to an FX 8350, my question is, will I need to reinstall Windows 7 into my computer and why would I need to reinstall it? Wouldn't it be on my hard drive? And I do not have an SSD. Much thanks

4 RepliesEdited by JerkLine: 1/11/2013 6:48:39 PMIt's probably a bigger pain to make sure windows works with your new components than it is to reinstall it, though it might "just work". I've always done a clean install after a major hardware change like the motherboard. It's usually pretty easy to move your Windows license over by calling them... But I've never tried it with an OEM license, so I don't know about that.
