The new system, if anything, gives us a greater opportunity to be seen then ever before. If we utilize the right tags at the right time, our viewer base will multiply into dimensions we never could reach in just the Community Forum alone.
I think the best way of solidifying out grasp on the forums an the community is by trying to get regular game nights going, possibly biweekly or weekly. Initially we refrained from this because it risked making us stale. No one wants the same thing every night, but with the expanded user base we have access to now, we can easily create a cycle where we play often, but don't often see the same people. And that, that's what would put CCs up on the map and ensure that any future posts we make get noticed too.

It's... possible. But also to note is that we have a LOT of organizers, but we seem to have trouble getting volunteers a lot. I haven't hosted one my self since Bungie Day when I handled a big chunk of that mess (worth it worth it worth it). Then I held our Ride Along before that which was quite some time before Bungie Day. To have events we need active volunteers. I'm passionate about CC and love helping to manage, personally. It really is an honor. But we've gotta work on getting everybody out of their shells. I was hoping to host an event over this break but it seems unlikely now with all this hecticness hah.

I'd volunteer to host, but I'm moving into a college dorm next week, so my gaming ability will be messed up for a little while. Maybe once I get that straightened out I could help out. I'd be happy to help out in a month or so.

Two things. 1. Bring an Ethernet cord or two, get your Xbox's MAC address before you leave your house, and you'll have no problem having XBL. 2. Rent an apartment next semester. :P

Thanks for the tips. I'd love to rent an apartment, however I'm just 16. (Skipping last two years of HS.) But hey, a cramped dorm is worth an education.

I'm with you burrito. The last game I actively hosted was right at the end of summer if I'm not mistaken. It's been a while, because with both college and work, I don't have time. I however, am, just as passionate about the Carnages as I was when I first joined up for being an organizer. We'd need Tom's approval, but I think the best thing to do would be to hold some recruiting for new organizers, under the condition of having to host regular matches. Sign up to host x times on x days, and you're only allowed to skip or cancel your event four times in a quarter (a season), else you get your organizer status rebuked. Yes, that turns it into a job, which, I doubt Tom will go for, but if people are willing to do it, it'd be a major bonus for the Carnages.

Eeeeehhhhh. I don't want it to be an obligation hah. That kills passion fast XP.

I don't want to turn it in to a job. What I think is important is this sense of pride and passion, which I think we have built that up over the... 2 years, damn... we've been doing this. Staff feel proud to be part of the initiative, and really want to see it continue to succeed. This is why I've always tried my best not to let any event fail in the past (in the early days I had to bail out plenty :p); it takes a long time to build up this sense of being part of something, rather than just being in something for selfish reasons, and it's easy to let that spark die after a few failed events. I encourage those not feeling it (often due to the stress of commitments elsewhere) to take time out; some excellent staff have already opted to do this and there is no shame in it. Staff have also been removed in the past, for lack of interaction. I agree that now is the time to start thinking about some new blood. Applicants just need to keep in mind that they are representing more than themselves :)
