1 ReplyThe success or failure of Halo 4 and the general outlook towards Halo 5 is going to have huge sway in what console people buy next generation. So it isn't surprising that when 343 failed to deliver what the fans wanted, they are forced to acknowledge the flaws in their game and promise to right their wrongs. I'm glad to hear they're taking steps, but they weren't even able to admit what they perceive is wrong or what measures they are going through with. All the community can do is hope for the best I suppose.

1 ReplyHalo 4 is a diamond covered in shit. At it's core, it could be the best Halo to date and I truly believe that. It's just riddled with retarded -blam!-ing design choices. The boltshot? Stupid as hell. Why should you spawn with a weapon that encourages camping and has a range greater than close range power-weapons. The DMR is just way better than everything with it's massive magnetism and rate of fire that every other gun isn't worth looking at, let alone using. And why encourage map movement when all you have to do is camp the back with your DMR with intergalactic range and wait for your free power weapons. There is zero teamwork too, where are the teammate death indicators? I feel no sense of "team" in team games. All in all, Halo 4 rewards you for playing like a douche.

8 RepliesHey internet, go easy on us, this is our first game! If you don't count Reach, Halo Wars, or ODST, in which 343 are credited, and Halo CE also didn't count. Trust us, we have learned all the right lessons, despite never acknowledging anywhere what even a single problem might be, so buy Halo 5 coming Nov 2013.

2 RepliesThe game would have been great if they added more variety in it. I think the one gametype per playlist is boring. What happened to Big team CTF, or Assault or territories or heavy's? Man those were fun. They should also add a community playlist like in halo 3.

7 RepliesHaters gonna hate. I love it. It's the best in the series since 3. I don't like that it has a ton of features missing, and hopefully 343 will rectify that, both in future updates and Halos 5 and 6. But for the elements that are they, they are largely pulled off sublimely well.

Waypoint, b.net, thc, mlg and neogaf are all stuffed with people complaining about H4 and the population figures are awful for a new AAA title. The thing about H4 is that almost all of us in this forum right now would have been able to advise 343i to steer clear of the problems that are in H4. -Should we remove Assault? -Should we change CTF? -Should we give lots of custom game options like older Halo games offer? -Do players like Mk V, ODST, CQB and Noble Six' helmets? -Instant respawn will allow players to respawn and kill their killers. Is that a good idea? -Should we have ammo on maps? Know what I mean? A drunk child would advise 343i to avoid the problems that they managed to create in H4.

21 RepliesI love Halo 4's single player, despite its flaws in gameplay (which, as a CE trickster/strategist, are pretty glaring to me), and I don't care about its multiplayer (because I stopped caring about Halo multiplayer starting in 2004). Campaign Gameplay: CE>3>ODST>2>4>=Reach Campaign Story: 4>CE=ODST>=2>3>Reach Campaign Overall: CE>4>ODST>3>2>Reach Multiplayer: CE>ZBNS Reach>3>Halol4>Halol2>lolReach It's harsh, but I can't say that I don't take this as a comforter. Hopefully Halo 5's campaign gameplay will be up to snuff again and they produce another high quality story. And if you're wondering why I'm not hoping for anything about the multiplayer, it's because I [I]know[/I] they'll never get it right. No matter what. Not even Bungie did, and they had an entire decade (though they came somewhat close with ZBNS Reach).

2 Replies343i knows that title updates exist, right? So many fundamental flaws in multiplayer that can be fixed with such little effort in comparison. It's laughable, really.
