Well I can't really now if there is a god so there is no reason I should believe in one. In short: No.

Edited by I'm baby: 1/18/2013 6:33:07 PMNo. I was raised to be a Christian, but the more I came to understand the world, the less an intelligent creator seemed probable. I also have a bone to pick with a lot of the Old Testament; slavery, murder (thou shalt not kill only applies to those in your tribe), stoning unruly children, burning witches, killing homosexuals, women being forced to marry their rapist, and petty jealousy of the almighty creator. I think religion has served a purpose, but has overstayed its welcome, as it has also impeded a lot of progress and still continues to do harm to this day (and any good it does can be reached by secular means). It is parasitic, and that is why I am so militant with my atheism. I still respect those who are religious, but I do not respect their beliefs.
