it had a fore-grip under the barrel
Eww.
There is ONE proper builds for an AK. Classic. All that tactical crap looks ridiculous. :)

Yeah the fore-grip isn't really needed for a gun like the AK47 it's a little overkill. As for aesthetics it didn't look too bad on it. Although it looks more like the one in the picture that Kernel Kraut posted rather than yours. I do like the classic look a lot.

Done right, a Tacticool AK can look awesome. I love the way they look with the Magpul AFG

>kraut, why u post airsoft? and lol 5.56 AK, only for special snowflake retards in my opinion. you will never have common parts if something breaks, you will have expensive and rare magazines. stick to 7.62x39 or x54r as far as good AK choices.

Because I was commenting on the Furniture rather than the pretty internals. Also, they have an AK variant in 54r? SHUDDUP AND TAKE MY MONEY

Edited by DELIVER ME MEMES: 1/18/2013 12:46:52 AMVEPR in x54r, brah. basically a Russian RPK reciever and sights as a semi-auto hunting rifle. legal status is... iffy in california...some have thumbhole stocks, some don't. most have slant-cut, some newer ones are straight cut; either way it's between 5-10 rounds and may need a BB. best results with match grade ammo. or a $10,000 TIGR

Eh, I consider the VEPR more of an SVD clone than an AK clone. I have indeed been looking at VEPRs and if you do things right, they are perfectly fine. But like you said, no Thumbhole and you need a BB. Apparently they are getting tougher to find.

Edited by DELIVER ME MEMES: 1/18/2013 1:10:29 AMit's not though. it's an AK. the gun uses RPK recievers, made in the RPK plant(Molot) in Russia. you can convert them to use normal AK mags in x39 versions. and you can get the 16" barrel version. But aren't' the SVD and AK variant receivers pretty similar?
-
kinda, but not really. there are differences.
