Oh, dude, NEVER shoot without wearing ear and eye protection unless it's an absolute emergency and you have to. You're gonna go deaf!
Still, glad you had a good time. That's a fun rifle, and very reliable. Still a big fan of the SCAR, though :-D

Gotta love the SCAR!

for outdoors, i'd reccommend some Howard Leight Leightning L3s. super comfy, and they work. for indoors, i'd recommend your choice of earplugs and said L3s. any glasses that meat the ANSI safety glass standard will work, though might not be comfortable.

I love FNH, bought an FS 2000 last month and it's a dream to shoot. I was looking at the SCAR but it was just a little too similar to the AR-15 platform for me, I wanted something different.

I love the SCAR! Never fired it in real life, but I love its sights. I use it in Battlefield 3 all the time and MW 2 and 3 when I played those. Usually we do wear ear protection, but in this situation it was more like, "Hey the neighbor got a new gun, I need to hurry over before he's finished shooting it!" haha.

it's called a picatinny railed upper receiver and a railed gas block. you can use any metal irons you want.

I had no idea; still love the gun though, I would really like to shoot it.

Indeed! Shotguns are one thing to shoot. But over time it will hurt and hearing loss will come. Always wear it when firing a weapon!
