I've finally got around to trying invasion out. Probably done about 15-ish runs. You wanna know how many actual invasions I've done? Two.
Literally every other time I queued up, I was thrust into a sweat fest 1v1 where my opponent either abuses revitalize to super spam, or drops a chicken mech and walks the dog on you. For the love of God can we cut back on the 1v1s and let invaders actually invade!?
-
What do you expect people to do. Let you just come in and kill them?
-
I mean it makes sense most would be 1v1, the odds should be 3:1 , I think
-
Just get rid of the invasion mechanic and bring back gambit prime, ffs.
-
Instant super, Briggs, spawn camping...it makes me wonder: of all the people Bungie asked to play their campaign nobody flagged this?!
-
2 RepliesThe instant super spam really needs to be addressed otherwise people will just stop playing invasion in an already dying game.
-
They need to make a feature of choosing 1v1 or 1v3. Idc if I gotta wait a bit to get an invasion. I don’t wanna keep doing 1v1. This was implemented poorly!!!
-
It's due to queue times & mode selection unfortunately. 99% of players chose the no invasion option & all the sweats want to invade... so you end up in mostly 1v1's.

3 RepliesEdited by Talia Sendua: 12/7/2025 11:13:28 AMSir, Invasions aren't meant to be Skillbased Matchmaking Crucible. They are meant to be a new take on the Gambit invasion system. Also, you are actively disrupting the gameplay of other players in their PvE activity by invading. That alone justifies having a hard time as a "Guardian gone Rogue". If you want to have good invasions, get better at the game. Crucible and Gambit are there to train yourself. Earn your kills. You already have the advantage that other players CAN'T see you through walls with a nameplate. To them, you look like an enemy AI ping on radar. You have to learn to use information to your advantage.

They are very annoying with how common they are. It might be fun if it was like a 5% chance. It is probably set up this way because there are so many invaders compared to contested territory runs. So the game decides to do 1 vs 1 to keep queue times lower.

1 ReplyIf I wanted to do 1v1 I’d play rumble lol

Edited by Dooodley: 12/7/2025 6:58:17 PMIt's actually somewhat enjoyable when it's a real Invasion but when at leats half of them turn out to be 1 vs 1 in a small drome on the map it gets boring fast. I'm no PvP player and this is no way to win us over. I'd rather sit in queue for 5 minutes to get a real match over this. Also, what's with all the black screens and returning to orbit when zoning in? In my last match I even had to sit around and wait for the portal to open - because I had a full wager on and wouldnt want to potentially lose it by going to orbit.
-
Yeah what's next people who invade your missions they're going to ddos you hasn't happened yet the way pvp is i could see it happen due to the fact lots of pvp players are sadist.
-
The constant brigs being summoned are just basic cheats
-
It's almost like nobody wants invaders when they already have enough stupid modifiers to deal with.
-
Upgrade revitalise fully and behemoth as much as you can. Thank me later.
-
Then god I dont need to do that again. Once you got the red never to return lol.

just goes to show that the population isnt very high in the game when i fly straight into Mars i know l have a 3v1 and if l end up back in orbit and fly back into Mars then i know l have a 1v1
