I played Renegades like many here and finished the campaign but when you are at 550 what's the point. Don't get me wrong Renegades is not bad but it is more of the same. To me Destiny overall was a great game, a space magic shooter and I have had loads of fun, but I think it's time to move on. It's crazy because like many of you I played since Beta. Are the few here like me just holding on because the game is a part of our routine? Like anything else you take a break and come back and I have done that few times. I use to be excited playing Destiny it was something to look forward to but now I play if I have absolutely nothing to do. This isn't anyone's fault. Sometimes it is what it is! Is anyone else feeling this way? What do you guys think?

5 RepliesI was all for 'going down with the ship' but this latest 'expansion' has sent me running for the life boats.. It's member berry SW nostalgia draped over reused assets, set pieces & locations with the notion we'll all be so impressed with ANOTHER trash compactor nod that we won't see the wood for the trees. Hacky desperate swing... And a miss. IMO Between the 2 games & 2 accounts I have around 16,000 hours in this world.. I stuck it out thru the lows to get the highs. But this is bouncing of the bottom. Keep your barrel. I'm climbing out. And I'll watch the ship go down.. not be on the tragic doomed outdated mode of transport. In saying that, If yer enjoying the game as is, power to you. Good Hunting & may yer rolls be Gawdly 🫡 I'll be elsewhere.. in my head canon, my Hunter went off to investigate pre-Golden Age music, my Titan quit the Vanguard to build homes for citizens, and my Warlock? Well, it remains to be seen where he ended up.. but I have a feeling they are jus fine hanging out with a certain Hive Lady in the Pale Heart discussing 'life, the universe and everything' It's been a trip. But a hoopy frood got things to do 😉 See you on The Heart of Gold 😏

It is good to move on from the game. I stopped playing for three months recently. This game used to be an A1 game. It is now just a game to play. When you see it like that you don’t have high expectations and you don’t get upset with mediocre activities. These bounties are dry and the portal is not fun.
-
I agree and just wanted to add that I was happy to see 3 factions with bounties (and a shader to boot!) But after the campaign it feels like I'm doing less damage and to be honest also not enjoyable Yes the lightsaber is good but I don't want to block, block, block, strike, strike, strike, and an occasional throw and return to me all day in order to survive

The fact they had to blend D2 with NerdWars (never been a fan of SW) is sad....they're losing their creative edge. Destiny should've ended a long time ago, now the main storyline just feels like its being winged and the devs are like "f*** it"

2 RepliesI think they lost the Recipe for fun. Waves of enemies endlessly spawning with bullet sponge bosses, and now they make Guardians have to have limited revives in almost anything. The expansion took away the health regeneration, which is one of the main superpowers that Guardians possess. It would be like taking away Wolverine's healing and nerfing his blades. No one wants to play that. Guardians went from feeling like magic space gods there to conquer enemies to feeling like everyone's target dummy. It is now too much struggle, too much grind, and not enough fun.

I'm about the same. I haven't purchased the last two DLCs, just the season passes. The game doesn't hold the same appeal anymore. I think this started when they went away from the drip feed of a little here and there each week instead of everything that can be done in a few hours. Mostly I play to kill some time and relieve some stress. I'll spend the rainy days on this game when I can't be on trail.

Well the POINT SHOULD be to get into endgame and raid and do dungeons to get better loot. But endgame hasn't been "endgame" for a while. People wanted to not be forced into raids. Here we are. Also we can't overlevel. That's also bad too.

I took a long break from the game after TFS. Came back for Renegades. Gameplay is still amazing - I still love it. Game as a whole is still a mess- feels bloated and the quality continues to slide. I’ll have my fun and see what the future brings. Is Gambit Prime returning? What will the multi-year roadmap tell us? Is Sony going to invest and carry this IP forwards? Until I see some good news, I assume I’ll continue to play more casually and take long breaks when I get frustrated with this brilliant, but flawed, game. -
Our choices after the campaign are: -Get all the lightsaber upgrades. -Max out all three factions. -More Portal crap. It's all tedious, repetitive busywork with barely any worthwhile rewards. Yes, we're getting the Dungeon next week, but we all know how little that's going to motivate players.

Similar feeling with the 550 power thing I really feels like there’s nothing for the do in the game rn other than priority contracts. I don’t feel like doing conquests either, I just wish there was something to grinding towards after 550. This is why I kinda wish we had power prestiges to have reason to even do the portal stuff.

2 RepliesThis expansion was not worth $40 dollars. It played more like a season. 10-15 bucks and that’s being nice.

2 RepliesHave you ever heard of the jokes that alternated between, that's good no that's bad? ... that's Bungie in a nut shell. Every good idea is sabotaged, they -blam!- defeat from the jaws of victory. One step forward, three steps back. New ideas and shiny baubles on the outside with all the flaws and joy crushing filling on the inside.
-
It's been going down for quite a while. I always thought, It couldn't be that bad; make the best out of it. But here I am, saying, That's it, this is definitely the last DLC and product in general I buy from Bungie. Not even to speak of all the recycling of content and mechanics, this whole new bunch of parameters killed Destiny 2 for me. All of those restrictions and micro-instructions are too much. —Bungie should educate themselves instead of their customers. It would be good if they would take an honest look in the mirror to see who and where they are. And while they give grades now (with the Portal), they should start by rating themselves honestly.

I guess I just keep hoping that they will introduce an expansion for D2 that course corrects the game like what TTK and Rise of Iron did for D1. But every time they release a new expansion, I’m shown time and again that it’s not going to happen.

I loved the story (to some extent). Liked new activities for the first 5 times. Exotic mission was amazing first 5 times. After this, I am just going to finish the campaign on my 3rd character with a friend and then maybe back to other games. Needless to say, the low player base count had made the grind much worse. Finding players takes long time then you end up with people who can't survive the game. Abandoning and search again. Waste of time.
-
8 RepliesI've finished the campaign. Did the exotic quest. Won't bother with the unlocks for the blade, don't care about factions. Not going to play the same old stuff we've had for years. At this point I'll play probably crucible (not a lot) and wait for the dungeon. Everything else means less and less to me. The game can't motivate me to grind it no more at this point

Had the opposite effect on me Made me want to play D2 more than I have wanted to in years The saber gameplay loop is addictive, and the syndicate missions are great, most fun I have had in D2 in years I hope they expand the syndicates more, do like Warframe, have Rival Syndicates come after you randomly in missions, and if you kill them they drop that factions loot
