come on @sony , time to get ride of bungie useless team...they are killing Destiny 2 Sony is currently in the process of integrating the Bungie team into PlayStation Studios due to the studio's failure to meet financial and user engagement expectations for Destiny 2 and other projects. While a full replacement is not confirmed, the move is a direct response to player dissatisfaction and financial underperformance. so ? Key reasons for this demand and action include: Financial Underperformance: Sony has publicly stated that Destiny 2's sales and user engagement have not met the expectations set at the time of the $3.6 billion acquisition in 2022. This led to a significant impairment loss of approximately $204 million on Bungie's assets. Player Dissatisfaction & Dwindling Engagement: The Destiny 2 player base on platforms like Steam has dropped to new lows, and community sentiment has been rough due to controversial updates, content vaulting (removing previously paid-for content), and a perceived focus on monetization over substantial content. Management Issues and Layoffs: Reports have indicated internal mismanagement at Bungie, including a high "burn rate" of expenses and missed development deadlines. This has resulted in multiple rounds of layoffs, which former employees claim have created a "soul-crushing" atmosphere within the studio. Lack of Accountability: Sony leadership, including Sony President Hiroyuki Totoki, has called for more accountability from Bungie's management regarding budgets and deadlines. Resource Misallocation Concerns: Some fans believe Bungie has funneled resources and leadership focus away from Destiny 2 to its new IP, Marathon, further contributing to the decline of Destiny 2's quality and content output. Ultimately, these factors have led to a public perception that Bungie's current leadership is incapable of managing the Destiny franchise effectively, making Sony's increased oversight and integration into PlayStation Studios seem like a necessary step to salvage the IP and studio. all the last dlcs and events are pure catastrophe
