I don't know why, but for what ever reason people just don't know how to make this public event heroic.
99% people will just kill the ads and destroy the blight domes.
Worst is when there is no one around and then after you dealt a few 100 thousands of damage, someone out of no where just comes around and starts killing all of the ads and ruins everything.
Really annoying when you are doing bounties on the Dreaming city and you need heroic event completed.
It is seriously not that hard to make it heroic. You just step into a taken dome and then walk out and for 4 seconds you are able to damage the blight (big black ball) killing ads heals it and destroying the domes, moves the event to another location.

Been running old seasonal stuff recently & people can't do simple mechanics - it's tiring doing everything or we fail. People even get lost in strikes, edge will finish most of them when they cant do the keplar puzzles & get locked in the first area & quit.
99% people will just kill the ads and destroy the blight domes.
They have to show you they are super cool! Did you saw how fast they killed all the red bars?! 🤯 Amazing isn't it?!

I agree that the Blights event is probably the rarest one to get to turn heroic. I think the problem is that it's the hardest to be able to see what other players are doing to turn it heroic. Glimmer drill : you can see people shooting the machine Servitor is a problem only if people kill the mini servitors too fast and it bugs the big one in immune phase. The big cabal ship (don't remember what it's called right now ) you can see people shooting the vents The ether harvester / scorn one in Dreaming or Throne world, you can see people popping the blue flying orbs. The escort the platform one, you can see people throwing the gold orbs. Brigs : you can see people shooting the little flying things Vex: stand in the rings and kill stuff. For Taken Blight, I don't think most people would recognize that the mechanic is to step in and out of the small blight domes. It isn't a visible enough mechanic as something out of the ordinary. It just looks like the player who knows what to do may have a weapon on that works, (like trying to stun a champion), while the other person doesn't. There's no visible change to the player when they step in and out to show that a mechanic was triggered. The movement just looks like regular movement, maybe trying to lure ads out of the blight domes. Unless people are bothered enough by not consistently getting it heroic to go find a video, this isn't going to change. Compared to the others, Taken Blight is a very, very subtle mechanic.

Wardcliff coil makes it heroic in 4-6(?) shots. Been a while since I swapped to Choir of One.

You're expecting too much from the community. They still don't know how the corrupted works. Pass the ball people. Pass. The. Ball.
