It is the offering of a weapon/armor for a limited time, so its now or never... the fear of missing the roll you want was something used to drive players to grind endless hours to get their rolls in the limited window to do so. IMHO, this is something that once was a driving force to the addiction to playing the game, now may be one deterrent for players to return after taking time away from it.
