Should Have Delayed Episode Heresy
Just saying, all this missing audio for dialogue is actually annoying, and all because of an immensely stupid strike, no less.
Or, I honestly wouldn’t be against them replacing the VAs with either different voice actors or even AI as a last resort, since AI won’t do stupid stuff like go on strike; being a real pain in the rear for the rest of the company and the playerbase. It’s funny how they don’t realise that going on strike against AI is VERY counterproductive to their goals. Literally just giving even more of a reason to replace them.
Play stupid games, win stupid prizes (losing their roles).🤷
Sloane’s VA is easily replaceable since she’s literally one of the most forgettable characters in the game, and Xivu Arath we’ve only heard a very few amount of times.
SAG-AFTRA is pure cancer anyway, wanting to monopolise voice acting roles. If any company signs the agreement, then non-union VAs could lose their jobs and be replaced with union VAs. Is that what ya’ll want? Most of your beloved voices in this game replaced?
These comments are really showing that they didn’t read the interim agreement, lol. If it weren’t for that glaring issue, Bungie would’ve signed the agreement awhile ago.

1 ReplyNah. I respect the VAs for striking against the use of AI. Just because it’s a minor inconvenience to you, doesn’t mean you should be so callous. If you want to be mad at anyone, be mad at the industry that is undervaluing creatives that made any of this possible.

Horrible take. I agree it’s annoying but you’d postpone everything for weeks (potentially months) until the strike is done. Or you’d poison the well with our VAs by having Bungie hire scabs. That gets us lower quality talent, more changeover between VAs, and just more issues down the road. + VAs striking about AI takeover of their jobs is kind of a good thing to support generally speaking.

Or have at least attempted to do something other than telling people to “Oh yeah, BTW turn on subtitles” the day before launch.

I will say the lack of voice overs ruins the story big time due to missing out on gd lore and conversation

Delay a season because of missing voice lines? Bro we had to go through the internet to get any sort of reliable lore for the first 3 years of this games life. I think a season without voice lines will be okay lol
