Thanks Bungie for the Trials changes
Due to the changes it has enabled me to go to the lighthouse as a solo player today.
Not bad for a 70 year old guardian.

87 RepliesReaching the Lighthouse used to mean something—it was a badge of honor, proof you clawed your way through the fire. Now? It’s just another participation trophy, and no matter how shiny the metal, it still reeks of mediocrity. Mark my words: this is a disaster in the making.

I enjoy the changes. Makes the experience more chill and relaxed. For those who want to try and get extra stuff can and for those who just want to chill can.

I have mixed feelings about it, if you care about the destination more than the loot then it's whatever. It wasn't necessary "easier" to get flawless before but having 2 mulligans was nice. I played with a clan member who's not good at pvp and if it was the old system he would've went flawless. Adapts have kinda fallen out of favour because of the ballistic mod also

What I care about is My loot. Whatever other people have I want it too— that works both ways. Whatever I have should also be obtainable. You still have to play the game mode to get it. More people playing Trials is good. I went flawless with a seven streak & it actually felt better than it has in a while. For one, a no mercy flawless is actually harder & most importantly it actually means way more now. Because I went on a 7-streak, I get a higher percentage at rewards, which feels better than what it was before. If I don’t get that chance next week and only get a 5-streak, then I still feel pretty great earning rewards but at lesser chance. The ROI feels spot on.

Man, I must be playing a different game than the rest of you or something. This is by far the hardest Trials I've ever played. The worst player on the other team is a million times better than the best player on my team in literally every match. The matches are not even close. I've never played against better players in 10+ years. Do I have the wrong card or something?

It felt approachable knowing I can go to the lighthouse and get some quality rewards as long as I can get 7 wins. For me the rewards felt fair, hopefully those who went flawlessly feel the same way. Thank you for these changes, I appreciate and enjoy them. I plan to participate much more in trials because of these changes. (5x win streak)

1 ReplyI have enjoyedbit too. I did the training passage first to get a feel of the mode. I do well i quickplay but 3v3 is more intense so its very different. When i was done with that i did the lighthouse passage. Tried my best. Won some, lost some. Even managed to be on top in a few matches. Was also lucky to get teamed up with 2 really good Players on a few occasions. So good that i didnt even get a kill because they killed everyone already by the time i got to the action lol. Anyawys, in more balanced matches i tried to stay alive so i could at least res my better team mates. I understand it can be frustrating for good Trials players who go in solo and get teamed up with someone like me who is not used to Trials but i was amazed i didnt get a single nasty message on Xbox so although some was probably abit frustraded with me at times they were all good sports about it. I got some cool armor and weapons and even an adept hc.

3 RepliesThe changes are nice besides SBMM.....and putting people into 2v3 matches.......and really unbalanced teams. why do i have to go on a 10+ losing streak before it gives me a winning game. Or teammates who dont walk off the map and greif.
