Posting this while the forums are on fire with people whining about how much they don't like how different the Nether is is hilarious.
Tell me you didn't play D1 without telling me you didn't play D1 lol
bro, I played D1 The court of Oryx area, the two side areas, the area thats starts kings fall raid (6 statues and right before court oryx spot), the outside landing area, all of it was in D1 !!! we even have a mission in Nether to shut down the 3 power supply units and that's the same mission mechanic as the mission in D1 The section where in D1 mission where Oryx "took" a cabal commander and we had to fight there, I'm about to boot up D1 on my PS4 and list the names of each zone.... EDIT: I just booted up D1, Mausoleum area, Hall of Souls, Trenchway (starting outside ship area) Boot up D1 and see for yourself, my god it's all there, by the way you can't mantle up to ledges in D1 so don't fall when jumping. they changed the color added some taken some goo etc BUT it's the SAME LEVEL and area the whole area with taking ghost out to reveal the hidden platforms.... the platforms are in the same spots as they were in D1 The Trenchway inner area, play the lvl 28 1st mission "The Dreadnaught" (survive the dreadnaughts super weapon and establish a beachhead for the vanguard) Cayde literally has you do the Nether 1st mission, you go inside to all same map, same area, and there's a taken shield protector same 3 generators and Cayde's asks Eris and they decide to just shoot it after Ghost hacks it to drop shield. C'mon Bro. I booted D1 up and am playing right now and am LMAO at how same it is. Look I don't know game dev with the Tiger engine and Bungie swears its NOT as easy as Control C Control V because something something game dev is hard, tiger engine blah blah BUT ITS THE SAME LEVEL DESIGN !!! sure I get it for nostalgia but this is getting ridiculous. Nostalgia over something that came out LESS than 10 yrs ago the fan boys lick boots too hard, they apologise and make too many excuses for shree laziness from Bungie

  • I still fully support the whole thing that people don't know what they want. They ask for something new but when something new is added they want it to be like the old stuff.

I feel like these people just got the delusion in their heads that when bungie said the dreadnought was returning that it somehow meant we got a whole new unexplored area of it. I've heard more people liking the nether than those complaining about. I mean, I've been it running pretty frequently and enjoying it.
