As a Beta Guardian Day 1, what 10 years ago, working full time and trying to game, it was manageable. Today and older it’s just not fun any longer. Competition Mode isn’t meant for the average guardian, I get that , it’s for the elitist streamers earning a living on us watching their time playing. I hate the symbols mechanics also. It used to be manageable to find out what mechanic was, now it’s just “let’s see if we can stump Datto, cactus, Aztec, salt ,Mactics etc etc….. “ . I don’t have the Icebreaker ( and won’t) and I’m not gonna get what ever it is for this mini raid/dungeon. In the end , I respect those that have the skill set for this Day 1 event and when they turn it off. But at 65 , the fun flame is flickering .

Right there with ya D1 Alpha player that loved the idea of an FPS RPG space magic exploring the universe. I will always cherish being on Venus week 1 and finding a strange fusion core and that leading to Pocket Infinity. BUT now the exotics are for the streamers and content creators to show off as us plebs can't attain them with terrible RNG from dungeon bosses we can't beat, or can only beat once a blue moon when 2 friends are online and the stars align (my friends nowadays only play 1 class each, we get one shot, and many times we run out of time before we beat the boss, the checkpoint sits for days and we never all get back online as life and work happens and we never get another chance). Will be interesting to see IF the game survives with Bungie designing content specifically for the group you mentioned, time will tell. My fun flame is flickering as well, and I don't feel like the game is meant for me anymore. Guardian Out.

Nice! I used to live on Anna Maria Island. Biggest was probably 40-42" during one of the '05 storms. Really courteous fish... after I pulled it onto the pier, he released himself so I didn't have to. 🤣
