They replace entertainment with tedious mechanics intended to increase /timeplayed from players that will endure tedium for dopamine rewards

I ran it last night, went in blind and was properly entertained for a good four hours or so.

I’ve been busy farming VoG for the reprised weapons. I’ve barely touched either the Nether or the dungeon. I’ve dipped my toe in each activity recently and my first thought is “f**king tedious”. Especially those first and second encounters in the dungeon. That may change with repeated play, but my first impression is generally how I’m gonna feel about it. This has made concrete my decision not to purchase Frontiers. I am not spending money for more of this tedious 💩 in raids and dungeons. Which let’s face it would have been the only stuff worth playing in Frontiers. Bungie have decided that they want to continue down this road. That’s fine I have almost the whole game to play in, I’ll enjoy that and ignore the latter 💩.
They replace entertainment with tedious mechanics intended to increase /timeplayed from players that will endure tedium for dopamine rewards
That is the most spot on assessment and explanation of Bungie design philosophy. I'm beyond over it, its not FUN for me, not fun for friends, man that's spot on.
