I've read through it and tried many different things. I'm almost certain that its setup correctly I just can't figure out why my characters wont show up on my steam
-
Edited by ADragonWithin: 1/21/2025 10:05:46 AMWhen you log in on Steam, what BungieName is displayed on the character select screen in-game?
-
I’m scared to go past the character creation screen because I don’t want the season pass to go onto a new account and it shouldn’t be telling me to make a new character
-
If you launch the application and get to the character select screen, then any Season Passes or Dungeon Keys were already been applied to that set of characters after accepting the Cross Save notification.
-
When I launch the game on steam it tries to get me to make a new character like i’m starting a new account and every time it does that I just close the game.
-
I get to this screen and I'm scared to go past it Is there anyway I can fix this or am I gonna have to restart?
-
Edited by ADragonWithin: 1/23/2025 4:02:25 AMUnfortunately, if you've already made it to that screen, then any passes that should apply to it have already been applied. There's a form to fill out concerning issues with that, but you need to resolve the current issue first before that's recommended. Please make the character, then return to the character select screen, and share the BungieName it shows there.
-
It shows my name but nothing is transferred over.

When you previously had your Steam ID linked to the other profile, was it part of Cross-Save? If so, then that Steam ID currently has a 90-day cooldown before it can be used in a Cross-Save, which could explain the issue you're having. If that's the case, then there's nothing Bungie can do to assist you, as you'll need to wait out that time limit before you can add it to your Cross-Save fully. You can link it to your Bungie.net profile, but it won't be part of your Cross-Save until after that timer is done.
-
I've forwarded your issue so Bungie can take a look at things and possibly resolve your issue. Unfortunately, beyond that, there's nothing else I'll be able to do, as I'm just a forum helper here, but you've given all the info that makes it appear to me that Steam isn't connecting properly with Cross-Save. I cannot guarantee a time frame or that your issue will be resolved, but I've done all I can to get it looked at. Good luck, Guardian. I hope things can get resolved for you soon.

Ok. Does that mean that the seasons will also transfer in 90 days? Also once the 90 days is over will it just auto connect or will I have to disconnect now and wait 90?
-
After waiting 90 days, the easiest method is to unlink the Steam ID then re-link it so it auto-connects with the Cross-Save. You may be able to get it to connect through going through the Cross-Save page as well. You do not need to disable Cross-Save, so don't try that method. After things are working correctly (not before), you should be able to use this form to explain the situation https://help.bungie.net/hc/en-us/articles/360049497351-Contact-Form-Missing-Eververse-Item-or-Add-On-Items.

Edited by Kira: 1/23/2025 9:34:08 PMI know you said to wait 90 days and I will. I'm just asking to make sure. When I go to my account I do not see an unlink option just a deactivate cross save option. Also, if I deactivate cross save and just start a new character on steam can I fill out that form and get the season pass enabled?
-
This is what I am worried about. You're telling me to wait 90 days and then unlink but you have previously told people that they cannot unlink while crossave is active and will have to disable it and be locked out for 90 days. So if I were to do that wouldn't that be like 6 months of waiting just to play on Steam with DLC I purchased? I'm honestly not trying to be rude or come off as a ungrateful or anything. I am just trying to understand what my best option is. The cross save guide says when you disable it that you cannot re-enable for 90 days but it never specified that my Steam would not be linkable to a different profile as well.

Edited by ADragonWithin: 1/24/2025 11:21:19 AMIf the Steam ID isn't part of your Cross-Save (as it is now), based on previous forum posts, you should be able to unlink it. Is that not an option in your Bungie.net Settings under Account Linking? Unfortunately, I've never personally had this issue, so I don't have direct experience of it. In the past, some people had a related issue with their Epic ID, and unlinking it and relinking it worked, and they still had Cross-Save enabled, so it didn't prevent unlinking. If you don't see an option to unlink it, definitely don't disable Cross-Save. Wait out the 90-day period for the Steam ID, then check to see if it auto-adds it. If not, go to your Cross-Save settings and see if there is a way to add the Steam ID to it without disabling Cross-Save. If neither of those options work, please do reply here and I'll forward the issue. You shouldn't need to disable Cross-Save in order to add your Steam ID to it. For a record of the date, your initial post was on January 20th. If that's the same day you disabled Cross-Save on the other profile and your Steam ID got the 90-day lockout, it should be over at the latest on April 21st.

Edited by Kira: 1/25/2025 7:37:30 PMMy bungie profile says that my steam id is linked correctly. In the setting the unlink is greyed out. Waiting till April 21st is a long time to not play already but the potential to have to wait another 90 days because something is wrong with the cross save unlink is scary.
