As a looter shooter, we have way too many weapons that mean nothing, we're always getting loot to delete. One can play for hours just to end with nothing worthy to justify that time spent.
It's time that Bungie makes Destiny more MMO and less looter shooter. Destiny needs quests, side-quests, mystery missions, more collectibles, puzzles, etc.
Bungie should bring back ALL campaign and exotic missions from D2 and I mean, really ALL of them, even from vaulted content. Put them in a destinations node, and create triumphs and objectives for playing them with custom-themed cosmetic loot and a unique weapon at the end. It's time to make all content available and valuable.
But again I insist that Destiny shines brighter when periodic and new missions, quests, collectibles, puzzles, etc, are a big part of the content.
The hamster wheel "repeat-'til-you-vomit" content doesn't work, players are already burned out on that.
As a looter shooter, we have way too many weapons that mean nothing
Because the weapons have zero identity save for certain perk combinations, being copy-paste with exact same damage and rpm stats in an archetype
It's time that Bungie makes Destiny more MMO and less looter shooter.
