It’s funny watching you lot taking other peoples lives so personally 😂. People lose their jobs all the time, when you losers are old enough to get a job you’ll realise this.

I mean, those people are... well, were, making the game. Kinda hard to not be invested when they were making something that should by all rights be succeeding. Were it not for the constant top-down negligence on display. Trimming the fat isn't going to make them more productive in this instance.

I hate to say this, but you're right - I was laid off in my last role after 15 years and had my role 'integrated' from one company to another about 2 years into that. Prior to that I'd been out of work for a year after - you guessed it, being laid off. Nobody took to a forum to rant about that (not even me), so it's sad and distressing for those involved but not exactly the apocalypse...

I agree with you on this point. Do we really care if worker 178 or worker 218 or worker 42 were fired. NO we don't, we don't know them and we don't live their life. We can sympathize with the situation they are placed in by the company they work for but, ultimately, they chose to work for the company and didn't leave or find other employment if and when they saw issues within their company. As consumers, we care about a good product. Literally our dislike over what the game has become, led to the firings. Management let the consumers down and as such, we voted with our wallets en mass. Bungie needed those employees to get TFS out the door with only a 4 month delay. With what we now have moving forward, does anyone believe this ship can be saved at all? I personally don't.

Edited by TwinStripe9070: 8/1/2024 4:58:23 PMPersonally, I don't think it can. As bad as management may be, there isn't a single CEO in history who told their employees to do a bad job. Ever. Lightfall didn't fail because of bad management, Lightfall failed because of poor design and implementation which the management then failed to reign in. Everyone at Bungie has to own that. There will be some who ended up joining after a lot of the decisions were made who didn't contribute that but if you're standing in a field full of cow -blam!- you don't stick around and wait for the roses to start growing. You get moving... We're all responsible for the quality of our own work; you, me, Pete Parsons, the office cleaner, everyone...
