I like the game, but you/I have to detach myself from the fact that it can deliver something to me 24/7. However, if you ask people to pay $99/€, then it also creates a desire for "more".
I took a break and was surprised at all the changes. Now it's enough again.
It annoys me when I read the following:
"It kind of feels like [upper management] is being very two-faced about it," said Guilhem Lagarde, a product support technician at Bungie affected by Wednesday's layoffs, in an interview with TechCrunch. "Like they're telling us one thing, but behind the scenes, something else is happening."
We will see.

Out of curiosity, is there more context to that interaction? What are they being told? What are they doing different as opposed to what devs are being told? I'd be interested to know.

Personally I disagree, I stopped playing the game entirely. PvP sucks, they ruined it. This game never needed the kind of utility that subclass 3.0 jacked into every ability, only the ability to customize. I saw the lay offs and wanted to give some staff at bungie who are being totally -blam!- by their leaders some sort of reinforcement.

The PVP emphasis people put in this game seems masochistic to say the least. I’ve never downright hated PVP but maybe that’s because I’ve known since day 1 Destiny’s PVP will always be a mess compared to a dedicated PVP game.
