1) Get rid of the Timer
2) Increase response time between puzzle inputs
3) Remove permanent team wipe mechanic
4) Use plain numbers or letters instead of symbols
5) Increase exotic class item drop rates for ALL activities thereafter
Note: not saying this to be mean, but these changes would make it a lot easier for us to carry other Guardians who need help getting this done.

The only ones I agree with are 2 and 5. The rest is just user error tbh. For the time, you already get like 30+ minutes if not more when you clear rooms fast AND on top of that if you do run out of time, a wizard spawns, and upon killing it you get an extra 5 minutes. For the symbols, not that hard. Make up silly names for them or describe them. Literally one of the symbols I said “Black man T-posing” and my random understood it.

3 doesn't exist, and both 1 and 4 are just a straight dumbing down of the mission, which is an exotic mission btw. 2 and 5 are nice suggestions though.

3 RepliesThere isnt a permanent wipe mechanic.

Edited by Itcus: 8/1/2024 11:59:55 AMJust make it "actually" farmable from the Stale Fart Overthrow. I can't for the life of me understand why we can farm the living crap out of the sword but the class item is gated so heavily. It's such a brain dead, toneless decision. Perhaps if they added some more personal to their team this could become a thing ........

You do 1 and 2 and the rest become irrelevant

1) Get rid of the Timer
The timer is in no way an issue. You get way more than enough time to complete each part, even if you down a few times
2) Increase response time between puzzle inputs
I'm not even sure what you mean by this. I've never had any delay when inputting any parts of encounters.
3) Remove permanent team wipe mechanic
Again, I'm not sure what you mean by this. There are no darkness zones, so there isn't any permanent team wipe mechanic seeing as how if you both go down, you just respawn.
4) Use plain numbers or letters instead of symbols
If you can't learn symbols in a game that's been using symbols for puzzles for a good while now that's on you not bungie. Especially when people have made full charts with the symbols and names for them
5) Increase exotic class item drop rates for ALL activities thereafter
This one's fine, but if you mean they should add it to every activity in the game as a drop, then no. Just like how strike loot, gambit loot, and crucible loot all drop from their respective sources, so should the class items. If bungie, however, adds a new activity that can drop them after completing the mission then that's fine.

1 ReplyTbh I thought the mission was a blast! The main problem I noticed with the mission isn't the mission, it's just the players. I'm a solo player so I usually use lfgs if I'm wanting to do an activity, and the amount of people I found who never said a word or for some weird reason wouldn't watch a video on how to do the mission was insane! But once I found someone who knew what they were doing, we had a blast going through the mission together. If the mission came out a few years ago it probably would have got so much love but a lot of the community these days are just toxic and expect you to be the best player in the world, or they want to do nothing and get carried through everything.

Great ideas 👍

2 RepliesMight as well just get rid of it altogether, then.
