Health gates are here because the bottom 5% kept complain that people were speedrunning strike too quickly while they were unable to get their bounties done.
I agree with you and blame the trash tier players everyday for needlessly increasing our runtimes.

I forgot about the strikes. That's another thing from Final Shape that got on my nerves pretty bad. The manipulated gameplay that appears to be based on the fact that some people have never played a videogame in their lives. Basically strike SBMM and the stuff being added to slow everything down and make sure everyone shares. That's one of those things that's really something that might end up hurting overall engagement and isn't even something a majority of players need. Feeling like you're being condescended to in freaking vanguard strikes.

How is that a bottom 5 % issue or even remotely related to health gates? There are several pathfinder nodes that are a hassle nowdays because of how quickly we nuke rooms/areas. Health gates doesnt really solve that problem - the tedious nodes are the real issue.

Those were ways to slow down other players, and after these got introduced these complaints vanished. We started had healthgated bosses because of their complaints and they have been an issue long before pathfinder was introduced, we used to run strikes much faster than we are now. Side note: pathfinder is a worse system than bounties.
