So in the midst of everything surrounding this company and the future of Destiny (and maybe Marathon?) I’d like to offer an opportunity for guardians to share their stories of the best memories they had in Bungie games. Let’s lift up the community together here.

2 RepliesFor me, forever D1. The Taken King has not been dethroned by anything in D2.

1 ReplyEdited by vxvxTITANxvxv: 7/31/2024 9:34:51 PMD1 Y1 gets a lot of hate; but that’s when I had the most fun. Having fun with people in the VoG. Teaching and running Crota because it’s wasn’t long and you were able to play it no matter how busy life was. I enjoy the OG versions significantly more than the d2 crappy remakes. HoW was booty cheeks though. We don’t talk about that. Taken King was huge and awesome too. I have a life outside video games, so that expansion was more than adequate for me. Game has been on a steady decline after that for me. Though I did enjoy the Leviathan raid. That’s probably the only raid in d2 that I’ve actually had fun in. I’d keep you here all day with the fun days I’ve had in Halo 2, 3 and Reach. So I’ll just leave my little destiny story for now.

1 ReplyThat time I survived on cheezits and ginger ale while helping Sherpa the first Whisper mission on IO.

Dawg I wish it was bungies final days. Destiny simply makes too much money to have anything happen to them as an entire group. Some minor people will be let go, others moved, but bungie isn't going anywhere. Worst case scenario is it becomes a subsidiary controlled by sony instead of just owned. It will be no different than with activision. Hell, the change of leadership might actually lead to a half decent game for once.

So many to think about. I still remember my first raid completion, the taken king with a lfg group that was very patient with me. I didn't get much loot but I got my clear. That helped me find a good clan and was able to learn WotM and then sherpa others through it. Definitely still remember my first Gjallerhorn drop. It was late at night and the wife and kids were sound asleep. I wanted to scream for joy but couldn't. This was prior to it being nerfed. My oldest son loved it since we shared accounts back then and it allowed him to do more PvE with his friends.
