What's "fun" for you casuals then? A big empty room with 2 red bar enemies?
A "boss" that dies if you so much as look at it? That makes you feel powerful and mighty?
Because clearing an entire room full of ads without even breaking a sweat and killing bosses that are actually challenging is my idea of fun.

For a new player or one who doesn't play regularly, it is a relatively huge hurdle to clear. Everyone seems to forget this when they pour thousands of hours into this game. Oh, we can clear a room of enemies in a few seconds? I should really hope so, we have end game gear builds and have played for so long we know where and when the next enemy will spawn, down to the microsecond so they are dead before they can so much as breathe. We don't need increased difficulty on the bottom end exactly as much as we don't need decreased difficulty on the top end. If I find myself in need of a challenge, I am going to remove my meta build I have built up over years of loot drops and end game clears. Those other players don't have that option, they have to play with a handicap until they get lucky enough for a good drop to come along. That is, if they stick around that long. As we've seen with the player fall-off recently, seems to be more likely lately. So yes, if it means players stick around then I am all for weaker base level activities that aren't marked "Expert" or "Master" so we can keep this game running, even if it means I need to pull white gear out of collections to feel a challenge.

Edited by theghost26000: 8/1/2024 5:14:40 AMi think pc should be split from consoles so that we can turn down the difficulty. pc players are playing on easy mode and the game plays much different on consoles than it does on pc. consoles feel awful. people on pc end up leaving because console players don’t want to play. the game is hurting because of these changes. the number of enemies isn’t the problem. it’s the inability to over level for content. we are weaker now than we were in lightfall and it feels very bad on console.
-
As someone who plays on both; i can assure you other than weapon swaps being much more fluid; there really isn't a difference between new gen consoles and PC.
-
Sorry but there are huge differences apart from weapon loadout swapping. It’s incoming damage, flinch to name a few. On top of that it’s all internet connection based on pc.

You think PC players take less damage from an incoming attack than someone on console ? Pls put the tin foil hat away….
-
There's zero difference on reduced incoming damage, in actuality there are more bugs with high fps PC's than console. none of your comment regarding internet connection based on pc makes any sense.

Edited by theghost26000: 8/1/2024 5:18:53 AMwell, that’s not true. i’ll take datto and saltagreppo’s word on it. pc is “baby game” and it’s “hard to die on pc” according to them. what’s more is that i play on console and i play endgame content and it is so much more difficult now than it ever was i no longer play much of the content. the difficulty on consoles needs to be turned down and the leveling changes need to be reversed.
-
Ill make my own assessment rather than listening to the opinion of a content creator lol. 80% of my pve gameplay is on console, did iconoclast 100% on console; 3x sf warlords etc... so idkwym..

so you’re the outlier. and the game is suffering from the changes made. i’d rather have the players that left or no longer play back in the game and playing rather than making you or anyone on pc happy with difficulty increases. and your titles don’t mean anything to me. i have them too and i’m telling you the game isn’t fun anymore. the only time i’ve felt this way about the game was when they sunset everything. this is very bad for the game whether you like it or not or whether or not you want to admit it. so there is that.
-
I didn’t mention game difficulty- I’m simply stating the game isn’t any more or less difficult on pc vs console; but keep huffing copium I guess
-
it’s not copious it is the reality. the coping huffing is coming from you. datto and saltagreppo have both said that the game on pc is “baby game” and “hard to die on pc”. trying to claim otherwise when pc players dominate content is almost laughable. but go ahead. continue to huff your copium. you’ll still be an outlier. learn to live with that. thanks.😊
-
I'm an adult and can form my own opinions based on actual gameplay and facts and don't rely on the word of content creators to make mine... lol
-
yeah. you said that before. they’re better than you at the game. their opinion means something to other readers. you’re an outlier and not representative of the reality for 99.95% of players. so there is that. all of that to say - you’re still an outlier and you’ll still be huffing your copium. thanks.😊
-
Totally agree with your sentiments. Pc is easy mode. I have watched players standing in the middle of open areas in GM’s tanking bullets with the exact same builds I run… I poke my toe out I get insta killed. And as for pc players with bad internet speeds… they are in god mode. It’s a nightmare on console.
-
definitely. although the pc players are about to come or in force to tell everyone the game is still too easy. little do they know this tells us everything we need to know that they’re playing “baby game” according to datto.

Yeah I’m a casual, only got 3028h on Destiny 2 🙄 I’m not asking for an easy ride just a fighting chance. Yeah yeah I know I should just get good
