God forbid gay men have a relationship in a video game. It’s literally not even that massive part of the story, i barely notice it. 💀

 • It's not them being gay is the problem, it's how forced their relationship is and how badly written it is.

 • Some people are being way too critical. This is a romance in a video game and not Shakespeare or an Oscar movie. It can be cheesy but the concept of who saint is and if he is real is a good concept as it mirrors what is going on with the conductor’s true identity. I like the philosophy of it it all. Is saint more real now that he had the memories? I’m enjoying it.

 • Same. There’s a great concept they are exploring with Saint’s identity through the lens of how that would affect a loved one, especially with someone so close to you it transcends timelines. When I fully listened to the dialogue, I raised my eyebrows, shrugged my lip with a nod and thought “oh, that’s actually pretty cool.” A few days later, my girlfriend called and wanted to just know more about Saint and Osiris because she thought they were more interesting to her now. At least some people are getting enjoyment out of it 🤷‍♂️

 • I barely notice it. It’s a good relationship, well written. Would anyone complain if they were straight? Nope. They wouldn’t.

 •
Would anyone complain if they were straight? Nope. They wouldn’t.
We complained about the Crow and Amanda romance story too. "Write what you know" they say and Bungie is very bad a writing romance. They turned the most epic warlock in the destiny's lore and one of the most hardcore titans into into whiny teenagers that have constant couples therapy like it's a CW tween drama. They keep ping ponging the same plot like between them too. Character A is unsure and aggressively does not feeling right, character B keeps telling them that everything will be ok.

 • Sure some are complaining "gay" but the biggest issue with their relationship is that it is not well written at all! Not just in terms of their relationship but their characters as well are poorly written.

 • Tell me what makes them portly written. I’m curious to see what makes them poorly written…

 • Sure thing, where do you want to start? The difference in Character from lore to In-game (basically how in-lore/ in-game there completely different characters) The changing of pre-established lore (changing the path of something pre-established is always a bumpy road) The Introduction of Osiris as an in-game character that was the blight of CoO (really just starting off on the wrong foot in terms of building a character) Saint-14's lack of character growth after the sundial season (really just becoming one dimensional and quite boring) Osiris constantly being an over the top grumpy old man and Saint being the over dumb/strong man with a heart of gold (one dimetional character writing) The fact that if you cut all the dialogue of Osiris and Saint out right telling us how much they love each other we more than likely would never know. Besides outright telling us there in love there are no other actions displaying affection to each other. (ie. Not a believable relationship)
