This week was focused more on the reveal than anything else. I’m not sure why people are still complaining. The arc isn’t going to magically change because people are intolerant.

  • Not really much of a reveal, honestly. It was pretty obvious actually. It was too predictable.

  • It was? I kind of switched off after the first week of episodes and just walk away until the ghost icon in the top right of the screen goes away. Even this week was the same. Trope is the word I would use to describe the story. I’m sure there was some meaningful stuff in there. In contrast to the writing in the Witch Queen, which was absolutely fine.

  • i haven’t even played much of it, i literally just load up raids and pvp, byf can give me the part of the story that matters in more enjoyable context without shoving woke media down my throat.

Wow, now THAT is peak idiocy. Neither OP or anyone else is being intolerant. Saint and Osiris are D1 characters. That have absolutely ZERO lore spanning from D1, that showcases or even hints at them being in a relationship, or having feelings for each other. Osiris was banished, and we already know why. The lore has been there since D1, Saint was dead for eons, and the lore has been there since D1. We found Osiris, and theres no lore whatsoever, hinting at him having feelings for saint. We revived Saint, and there was ZERO lore of him having feelings for Osiris. The 2 have been back in D2 for YEARS now, with no hints, lore, or in game events hinting at them having feeling for each other. THEN YEARS LATER, suddenly the 2 are in a relationship. With little to no contact between the 2.... The forum ninjas were taking down posts, and handing out bans left and right to anyone and everyone pointing out the lore. No one was talking bad on gay people at all, nor are they now. Criticizing poor writing, isnt intolerance. So enjoy getting down voted and laughed at by everyone, for your incredibly ignorant comment.

Didn’t say the op was intolerant. The theme of these posts generally devolve into their relationship is being “forced down” our collective throats. The point was it was essentially an aside this week and people are still crying about it. Which begs the question, why does it bother them so much? Edit: this was funny…
so enjoy getting down voted and laughed at by everyone, for your incredibly ignorant comment.

I don’t care lol
Which begs the question, why does it bother them so much?
The answer is obvious but these people are always deflecting, whether it's "pandering," "forced representation," "too unrealistic," or "not lore-accurate." It's so clear that their goal is "I want to see less LGBT people in the media I consume" and then they just work backwards from that with whatever excuses they think will make them look the least like a bigot.

I already explained why people have an issue with it, in FULL detail. If you cant understand that, thats on you. Yes its being forced down our throats, when no one wanted or asked for this kind a relationship betwen the 2. Nor has there ever been any hints or lore that point in that direction. They quite literally changed who the characters were, after YEARS of pre-established lore and actual in game events.

  • Their lore has been intertwined from the beginning. It’s actually not a huge stretch. It seemed overemphasized, but definitely not this week.

  • Yes they were intertwined from the beginning, that doesnt mean they had feeling for each other. They were quite literally written as having a brother like bond with each other, not romantic in any way. Saint only left the city with Osiris, because he believed he was right on how to approach the threat against the last city. At no point did they have the time to develop such a relationship, because after this Saint was dead....for years. Yes it was out of nowhere, and thats why people were getting banned and having posts taken down for pointing out lore specific to them.

  • It has been like 2 years since the big cutscene. How much more time to people need?

  • No. The point was if that was the only takeaway from this week’s installment, maybe you should adjust your optics.

  • adjusting optics won't remove the giant elephant in the room blocking our view.
