Honestly, I thought that getting harassed my first week of trying the Competitive game mode of Destiny 2 was bad... and it was! Trust me.
But, I can't even have 1 bad game in a randomly, normal Control match without being sent nasty messages from other players.
Destiny 2 PVP is soooo toxic, I have giving up on what I thought might be the whole reason to grind for weapons all these years (and finally giving PVP a try).
I thought maybe PVP is the reason I got all the weapons in the first place...
But, I can't even have the opportunity to try and raise my stats from the poor state they are in because I get messaged by players who want to use terrible language, and harass me.
It is the absolute worst experience.
The behavior of the player base can be absolutely disgusting.
Bungie say they don't tolerate the behavior, but it is obvious that these players have been doing this for a long time...

2 RepliesEvery time I see someone trash talking the team, they are using crutch and barely in top three, I just get on mic and blast them, sometimes they quit or they shut up.

Turn text chat off 👍

1 ReplyI keep everything turned off. I get clan invites but I’m sure they’re trying to find a workaround lol.

Writing this post shows they achieved what they wanted to and that was to upset you. Just message them back with “ok kid”. And leave it and move on.

First time playing an FPS? You would’ve HATED the post game lobbies and their open chat in Halo 2 & 3 😂.

Edited by The Hermit IX: 7/31/2024 3:24:22 PMGo to your history, find the match and report the player. The only way things get cleaned up is if players report toxic behavior.

That sucks man! You should just shut all that junk off. play how you want to play and screw all those that use cheese and talk trash. Head up dude and have fun.

Yeah. Those people aren’t gonna change. They’re keyboard warriors. You pretty much have two options. Embrace it and enjoy it by pushing their buttons to get them fired up, or turn off text chat because it really has not much use in the game.
