It’s a dead mode that nobody cares about. I play my 3 games a week for the drop then leave.

Clash is fine. Collision kinda cheeks. Either way the mode is just bad in general. No incentive for anyone to play or even care about reaching max rank. Since the system is a rank based ladder with sbmm literally anyone can get max rank with a bit of luck and determination. Wish they would have a pure ladder based rank system with some sick cosmetics at higher tiers

I don't think it's true that anyone can get max rank "with a bit of luck and determination" Even though it's SBMM, Bungie adjusts how many points you win/lose in order to cap you at the rank they think you should be. Play as much as you want, and after a while, you lose more on losses than you gain on wins, and you stall out on your climb.

Yup I would love some actually not egregious armour that is tied to comp. Also I think it would be cool if comp had its own range of weapons of staple PvP archetypes like 140 hcs, aggressive shotgun and adaptive sniper. We are currently missing an aggressive shotgun and it should actually be good enough to be a decent option. Ranks in comp also apparently mean nothing considering how many people I have played with the emblem who are literal burgers. They should just keep it simple and use cbmm to find games within your own rank and one step under or above and also make ranks a more accurate representation of skill. Idk how. A radical idea would be to only allow the new comp range of weapons. ie agg shotguns, 140 hc and 90 rpm sniper. This would reduce the cheesy crutches available to pad low skill players.

Wdym bro? You don’t wanna play 9 games of collision for a 53 rolled piece of artifice armor 😂 I think it’d actually be good if the used a hybrid mode for comp that’s somewhere between hardware and regular pvp. I doubt you could ever enforce a weapon archetype rule set but if they would just balance the sandbox that wouldn’t matter. As far as the actual rank system, it’s almost as if bungie did it correctly 15 years ago and forgot

Armour that bad needs to be a crime ngl, thank god the class items don’t have stats. I doubt bungie would ever manage to balance the sandbox but I think comp is meant to be restrictive as a ranked mode so removing all the easy to use options allow the good players to shine since they have the mechanics and good habits to beat worse players where right now the worse player can win by spamming pulses and abilities. I don’t think collision is a terrible mode but if you are playing with random s who don’t know how to play it and decide to just feed supers to the other team it is a nightmare. That way clash is so much better but right now since pulses are busted all you see is handholding and deathballing in the back of the map - restricting loadouts to fun options like hc shotgun that actually promotes agressive play would solve this issue.

There’s too much rng involved in collision. Like when I wipe a team and cap the zone just for the new zone to come up in their spawn 8 seconds later. It’s very difficult to retake a zone after the enemy team has control as they can just sit on angles that you are forced to push. I been maining Darkest Before the last couple weeks Ngl. I know it’s not hard meta like a 340 but dang it feels good for duels

Yeah that’s true the rng is brutal - I wouldn’t mind if it was a very small map and there were multiple zones that wouldn’t move and it was 4v4. Kinda like control scrimms. On controller rapids are pretty good but autos can do something similar while having better stats and after using zen moment headseeker Elsie’s I can’t go back to any other pulse except the other s tier ones kinda red death, messenger and no time
