Xim is more of a problem mate. Add aim assist on MnK and it's a diabolical combo. I'd say at least 40% of those cringe baby posers, (have a "sweaty" paid emblem, one word clan name that makes no sense, and PvP title) use xim. You check up on their stats and they run around 120-140 combat rating. Actual good players have anywhere from 170-200+ CR. Checking the CR is more telling than KD or elo imo. Almost all of these cringe lords that pop off and are sus in games, have low CRs and horrid stats. You can check them out.

  • I guarantee with absolute certainty you can’t tell when someone is using a xim in a crucible match.

  • I'd say that's wrong. M&K movement and aiming is different enough from Controller that you can usually tell.

  • No you can’t. Not saying it’s impossible to tell the difference. Just that given the tools in destiny pvp. You have 0 chance of telling the difference. Even in a game like overwatch with kill cams and full games recorded. You can’t always definitively tell. There’s no way, none, that you’re able to tell based off of what little visual feedback you get in a crucible match

  • If you're expecting a 100% assurance from me, you're not going to get it. But some things are nearly impossible to do on controller, and when a player is able to do those things consistently, it's highly suspicious. I report and record suspicious behavior and let Bungie sort it out. It is absolutely possible for players to identify M&K players based on their gameplay, but it's not possible to be 100% sure that they're cheating without other evidence.

  • I strongly recommend checking out platinum and above skill gameplay from a game like overwatch. When you get beyond low skill levels, the difference between the two becomes unbelievably difficult to tell.

  • I don't play Overwatch. I play a lot of Destiny, though. When players: * Slide away from me and are able to turn around mid slide and shoot backward at me... * Slide from an angle, turn 90 degrees and shoot me, then turn 90 degrees the other way and slide back to cover... * Very quickly target me when I surprise an opponent from an unexpected angle... * Strafe like psychos (instant max speed, infinite acceleration)... Then I am reporting them, because it's unlikely that controller players are capable of these movements or plays.

  • That’s my point. I can do most of that, I’ll just miss my shots lol and I’m terrible at pvp None of those things are indicative of mnk. If those are the criteria you’re using. You’re certainly falsely reporting a lot of people. Even with the strafing thing there’s delay on mnk(unless they’re all using that new keyboard.)

  • Lol, and if you could "do most of that," then you would be a top player (and almost certainly cheating). You're full of it. Have a good one.

  • Having good movement doesn’t equate to top tier player. Idk Keep falsely reporting people though. Really making a difference

You are mistaken. While technically possible, it is practically impossible to perform certain movements on controller. I don't know if you're new to Destiny or haven't played much, but M&K movement is one of the only ways to identify 3rd party hardware users. Ask anyone even passable at PVP, and they'll tell you the same. EDIT: But if you can't tell, then whatever. No biggie. Have a good one

  • Dumb question: What is the diff between CR and KD/ELO? What is being measured differently?

  • A guy below said pretty much everything, but CR is Bungie's stat, elo is unofficial destiny tracker stat which can easily be farmed if you play with carries and recovs.

CR is a gauge of a combination of things. Precision kill rate and %, score per minute, kills per game, KD? etc.. Pretty much the rounded skill of a player. Almost everything you do from match to match is a factor. The best stat to look at. Some value ranges to look at for example are; 80-100 range- usually new players, not much skill 110-130- average- sorta know what they are doing 140-160- above average, can hold their own pretty well 170-190- very good player, can probably carry a team in 3s or 6s 200+--God tier. Top players who you don't wanna go toe to toe with. Very few and far between. You can find these values on Destiny Tracker or Trials report. KD is obviously just Kill/death ratio. Elo is just a number that ranks your win rate or your placement in a playlist. The more you win, or the more people you win against that have higher Elo than you, the more it goes up. Elo is the easiest stat to increase, just play stacked. KD is easy to fake as well, all these people making new accounts to stat farm. If you see someone with a high KD, but low CR, it's obvious they are a stat farmer. Xim players will have really good games all of a sudden, or a drastic influx in skill as of late. Usually with the assist of 3rd party devices. If you wanna spot the cheaters, you gotta do some digging on their accounts stats. But most of them now hide their stats anyways so...

  • Makes you wonder why pay to hide your stats? Seems like they are hiding when they bought their device. 😂😂
