I started thinking, and, being the country man I am, my mind jumped to Zelda. The question is... which version of Hyrule?
Termina from Majora's Maskis off the table for... obvious reasons.
Ocarina of Time's iteration of Hyrule is also extremely dangerous, as would be pretty much every 2D game (besides Link's Awakening, but if you know, you know).
The Great Sea from Windwaker is certainly an option, but the abundance of pirates and thieves is a huge detraction.
Twilight Princess's Hyrule is pretty treacherous too, with constant raids from Ganon's forces and not much help to speak of from the people.
Skyward Sword is intriguing, but I definitely wouldn't want to be stuck up in Skyloft, and I can't/wouldn't survive any of the untamed wilds below.
That really just leaves BoTW and ToTK's Hyrule, which is a pretty good option. There's a lot if helpful people around in pretty sizable villages, the whole Kingdom is beautiful and breath-taking, enemies are spaced out and somewhat common, but manageable as opposed to Twilight Princess, and on top of it all, The Hero of Hyrule and The Princess are never really unreachable like they would be in other titles.
Aifos mentioned Kingdom Hearts, and he's right there, but Persona also has its merits,
In terms of the safest/quaintest: Stardew Valley.
Termina from Majora's Maskis off the table for... obvious reasons.
Depending at what point in the timeline you're entering, Termina could actually be kind of nice. As long as you're in the final timeline where Link stops the moon, it's a pretty nice place. Honestly, though, your reasons for choosing Zelda makes me think you'd like living in the world of Crystal Chronicles. Join a Crystal Caravan, and you get to explore the entire country to your heart's content! And, sure, there is poisonous miasma in the air, and you have to stay within a certain radius of your Chalice to not die, and you will have to fight monsters and stuff, but you won't be doing it alone! You could have up to 7 buddies on your Caravan with you!
Aifos mentioned Kingdom Hearts, and he's right there
Okay, here's the plan, I head to the human world in Amphibia, and procure a copy of Vagabond Chronicles, play through it and then hunt down post-timeskip Marcy, and get her attention by expressing my dismay at not having anyone to discuss it with. Once she totally nerds out, I reveal the result of my magic studies, and then offer to take her on an interdimensional field trip, hopping between worlds. Then me & my buddy Marcy go jumping from world to world having a bunch of zany adventures! We might pick up some allies along the way, but Marcy's the only Disney character off the top of my head who explicitly wants to go dimension hopping.
