The raid definitely should have been more casual friendly…. Less mechanics and more action… mechanics are so boring

The raids lowkey not even too hard, I haven’t actually completed the new raid yet so I can’t say much, but the encounters first 3 encounters are all the same and aren’t really hard, once you understand it tho it’s pretty easy

The hard part comes from the fact that everybody MUST communicate. Everybody has a role and you must be able to articulate your role to other people. Two of my friends and I host SE Sherpa runs from start to finish on the weekends if you are looking for a chill first time experience.

Match shapes, pass out shapes, collect shapes…. As far as dissection goes my 8yo was able to figure it out with pen and paper within 5 mins. It’s not hard. People over think it and make it more complicated than it really is…. The 3D shape cannot contain the 2D shape from inside call out….

Every can join the fight… if stepping on a plate when it’s glowing or shooting a stationary object before stepping on said plate is too many mechanics then… maybe they should play stardew valley

The mechanics for SE aren’t more challenging than any other raids. The difference is that there are little to no adclear only roles, thus players actually need to do more than kill stuff

Perception vs Perspective In order to understand people, we must subdue our egos and perceptions and, instead , look at things from the perspective of others.. ask why they are right. Only then will you expose your own biases and gain understanding. Then honest coversations turn to solution seeking collaborations. I mean no disrespect.

No point in continued discourse when someone can’t look at things objectively. Fact remains the base mechanics to any given raid in destiny are very few steps. It’s generally 2 steps to perform a mechanic. In the case of learner roles SE encounters 1-3 it’s step on plate when it glows and collect no more than 3 resonances. The advanced role being… shoot a static icon before stepping on. I’ve helped 23 guardians complete SE on normal. It isn’t mechanic heavy; some players just simply are adclear only players and there’s plenty of other raids for that and there is nothing wrong with not wanting to perform mechanics.

What’s the alternative to mechanics? Ad clear only encounters? No thanks. This raid needed to be difficult and if it’s too difficult right now, there’s plenty of raids in the game to practice with. Vow is a good one for getting heavy mechanics down You could also just run the final boss cp as there can be 4 ad clear spots. Damage works the same as in excision too
