1 ReplyI started thinking, and, being the country man I am, my mind jumped to Zelda. The question is... which version of Hyrule? Termina from Majora's Maskis off the table for... obvious reasons. Ocarina of Time's iteration of Hyrule is also extremely dangerous, as would be pretty much every 2D game (besides Link's Awakening, but if you know, you know). The Great Sea from Windwaker is certainly an option, but the abundance of pirates and thieves is a huge detraction. Twilight Princess's Hyrule is pretty treacherous too, with constant raids from Ganon's forces and not much help to speak of from the people. Skyward Sword is intriguing, but I definitely wouldn't want to be stuck up in Skyloft, and I can't/wouldn't survive any of the untamed wilds below. That really just leaves BoTW and ToTK's Hyrule, which is a pretty good option. There's a lot if helpful people around in pretty sizable villages, the whole Kingdom is beautiful and breath-taking, enemies are spaced out and somewhat common, but manageable as opposed to Twilight Princess, and on top of it all, The Hero of Hyrule and The Princess are never really unreachable like they would be in other titles. Aifos mentioned Kingdom Hearts, and he's right there, but Persona also has its merits, In terms of the safest/quaintest: Stardew Valley.

2 RepliesEdited by BusyBadger: 7/30/2024 1:16:30 PMWhat's not to love about pocket pool?
If I'm being serious though, and withiut spending too much time & thought on the question probably one of the Forza Horizon titles. I can drive whatever I want (within reason), as fast as I want (again, within reason), no damage, no tickets, no fuel costs, no insurance costs, no vehicle maintenance or repairs, modifications no matter how extreme always work and are easy, and if I make a stupid mistake I'm still walking away from the crash without a scratch. Easily the Sims. Want a job? Just apply and you've got it Promotion? Just practice a few skillls, maybe make a few social connections, and you're gold. Taxes? Nope Wanna add an addition to your house? Done in seconds AND with no pesky building regulations. Woohoo? Always up for it Annoying neigbors? Trap 'em in a room with no doors. Murder ain't a crime Aging? Reversable Die? Ghost unlife ain't that bad, and there are ways to undo it if you so desire Hate gnomes? ... yeah, there's no escaping that last one...

Kingdom Hearts. If I get a Keyblade, I'd have the ability to hop between worlds as much as I want. I could visit the worlds of all my favorite Disney characters, which sounds like a ton of fun! Theoretically, every Disney property exists as its own world in Kingdom Hearts, so even if I wind up in one world I don't like, I can just hop to another. Even if I don't get a Keyblade, though, I still get to live in a world where I can study magic, while still having the convenience of a relatively modernized society. It's a win-win, really!

1. Probably Skyrim. I know the game so well I can remember where to go without using the map just based off of big landmarks and general map knowledge. It helps that I have been playing the game for 13 years. I also know which places to avoid already.
Magic is super cool in Elder Scrolls and I would likely be some kind of adventurer who also would have a secret cabin with a farm.
2. Fallout, post 2277, but with my own take on the events that follow based on the games.
The pre-war US government known as the Enclave is still on the run or in hiding, they have an agenda against radiated creatures and are quite capable at taking them out with pre-war and new weaponry from the Offshore Oil Rigs. The Minutemen and Railroad have together formed a strong alliance that destroyed and wiped out the Institute and East Coast Brotherhood of Steel establishing a small government from Boston with safer farms and caravans. The Minutemen patrol their settlements and farms and guard caravans from enemies. A government built around the old-world ideologies of peace and freedom has taken over the West Coast known as the NCR, having regained control of California, Oregon, Washington, Nevada, Utah, Montana, New Mexico, and Arizona. Having wiped out Caesar's Legion, the West Coast Enclave and at a tense truce with the hidden West Coast Brotherhood. With growing numbers they have better protection against dwindling raiders and mutant creatures. In this scenario I will be with the Boomers operating old restored military aircraft out of an abandoned air base, forming an alliance with the NCR for air-frieght and air-support to help caravans and bomb raiders. At some point I would want to establish a Minutemen/NCR into one faction slowly rebuilding America.
Hmm… there’s a few choices. Far Cry 5 / New Dawn (same universe) but NOT in North America whatsoever. I will be staying far away from Montana. I was gonna type Minecraft, but that is way too dangerous. Maybe the Portal universe, but after Portal 2. It’s very much possible that Portal 2 takes place long after Half-Life 2, with humanity and the Combine long gone. I’d have at least one person to chill with, that being Chell, and a LOT of wheat to eat. It’d be peaceful. Maybe Smash Hit, fun game. -
Hmmmm this is hard. I gotta say Animal Crossing. I’m not even a big fan of the series but man it’s probably the best place you could go to if you were to live in a video game
