Biggest player drop off in the history of the franchise.
64% of players who purchased TFS expansion are no longer playing.
I was shocked when I heard that number.

Destiny is now ever so tedious. You can complete activities. It just takes a lot of hiding, peaking out and chipping away at bullet sponges for a few minutes, all while risking it one shot insta killing you, and then shooting at your ghost for the next 2 minutes making a revive impossible.
-
Destiny is over now. Everything has an end.
-
Sounds about right. Think I barely have maybe 5 people I know still playing. I think people are just done at this point.

Source?

Ketchup, but occasionally bbq to spice things up……

What about mustard????

Are you in a Clan? I can’t speak for the entire community, but I can speak for my immediate surroundings. Like political polls, it can give you an outlook of the community as a whole though. When the TFS dropped, almost everyone in my clan was playing. FF to today, I’m the only one who still gets on periodically. NO ONE in my Clan of over a hundred people is playing but me. So no Dungeons or RAIDs or any other activity that requires more than one person is being done by me. And don’t you dare curse at me with that foul language of “LFG”. lol And since most of the game is now geared toward playing with others, that means even I am losing my incentive to log on.
-
Perhaps. Im in a clan which has good guys in it and have been quite helpful …. But the new raid and class item quests, nah… too long winded and unforgiving for guys to keep trying to help out.
-
Sure. We are all part of a group of clans (Shrouded) with roughly 100 to 200 active in a given day. I have no issue asking for help in clan or LFG, but I prefer solo most of the time. Maybe you need to look for an active clan; they are out there. GL!

Steam charts has 314,000 peak players in June and 110,000 players in the last 30 days. Peak for the past 24 hours was 57,630.
-
That's just steam, though...what about the other platforms?
-
If the steam figures have crashed, it's reasonable to assume other platforms have similar drop-offs. Destiny 2 feels like it's done. Currently, there is no one on my FL playing D2.
-
I don't assume anything being an analyst and statician. Because peoples personal friends quit doesn't mean the game is dead or falling off. But everyone screams the sky is falling for D2, yet no one can prove it with facts or provide data/pr links to such info. Heard the same arguments for WoW, stil going strong, too. I'm not saying you or others are wrong. I just would like to see the data that everyone makes assumptions off of.

What could possibly differentiate them from having a similar trend other than perhaps wishful thinking?
-
Edited by Evilless001: 7/30/2024 7:40:30 PMHard coping differentiates it 😆
-
It probably trends pretty similarly, though it's hard to tell. Personally speaking, I just uninstalled the game from my xbox, so I won't be doing anything on there.
-
i'm one of them.. i think the only thing i've done in the last month is try to help clan w/final boss of new raid and that's it nothing compelling, gameplay is more annoying than enjoyable.. new raid could be sunset and no one would care, trash expansion
-
I wouldn't say trash but its not 10/10 all the idiots were drooling, its 5 average at best 6 at a push if you're into recycled mechanics.
-
Edited by theghost26000: 7/30/2024 5:36:36 PMi see your point. some people like it. but for me with the changes to gameplay to me it is trash tier.
-
Don't entirely disagree, fair point. I think the difficulty changes were moronic and assume some tickbox was left in charge.
