Streamers do pay what everyone else pays for entry into what's supposedly a competition.
I wonder what the numbers look like for people getting their one adept through the persistence passage and why people doing that is really seen as such a bad thing to the people that are shoveling adepts into their vaults and deleting adepts while beating people who have almost no chance of winning most of the time.
The way trials is set up is just problematic from the start. And its not only lower skilled players that benefit from the artificial parts of the mode. Comp should probably be considered the more actually competitive mode whereas trials is kind of a more competitive version of IB that takes place every weekend.

Done a solo, duo & trio card this weekend. It was a mixed bag tbf, although the trios there were some absolute demon squads playing was hard just taking a couple rounds off them. From personal experience I think it's never been easier to get a flawless done, people just need to practice & it's achievable for alot of players

Yeah, I'm not exactly sure what's responsible for the lower player population. Other than maybe some of the hunter stuff and the fact that its a repeated weapon I'd have no idea why more people aren't playing it. I really hope that Titans don't need to be how they were before in order for a lot of Titan mains to want to play it.

Haven't bought FS so can't access Trials anyway. I don't complain, I don't regret. But I still play my Titan regardless of what everyone thinks.

At least you can say you truly main a Titan.

Yeah, good enough to have completed last week's liminality GM. Tbh my decision is more or less confirmed by just playing. Yes, I can't access all new content but I don't believe new weapons or new gear or prismatic subclass is mandatory in order to run the game. It's just another round of new loadouts which don't make old(er) ones obsolete.

Don't think it's seen as a bad thing. Most really good players are going in 3stack so don't even match those playing on persistence. It's actually good thing cuz more people play. If solo, it might be tough cuz u might get these less skilled players on your team. But other night, literally got bots 7 games in a row lol. Before that total opposite.

Edited by A_mo: 7/29/2024 5:38:13 PMI just think its good because it draws people into the mode without having to try to convince them that they're lucky to be there getting destroyed to get ascendant shards or something that they can get from anywhere else. There have also been a lot of other things tried and those didn't go all that well and they were probably far more likely to give people a negative opinion of the mode. Like when solos just got play with what might have been one of the most absolutely broken PvP experiences ever to exist in a videogame and all they'd be told is play on a team. While the whole thing was running on the fact that solo players get crushed and if they didn't play there would have been no playlist. So at least people on that passage are actually playing trials. A lot of this stuff would be different if there was millions of people playing it every week but since there isn't there's just some "harsh realities."
