It's all just stupid, take away abilities if we change weapons or armor, nerf titans so much they need to be called Smurf babies, nerf this, nerf that, all to balance you say but what it really does is make it all suck because you want everyone one to play a certain way and on a certain character. Just let everyone play the way they want don't be a dictator.
Trials sucks so bad adept weapons are going to be handed out just to get more people to play.
It's not that hard to balance (to me) just look at KDA and keep the pools within a set range.......oh wait but then streamers and elites can't farm other players......and they pay the most......or do they?

1 ReplyPvp is just a slot machine. Pull the lever and the matchmaking determines if you win or lose. Just stop trying, you effort doesn't matter and its up to Bungies psych nerds who tune the algorithm whether or not you get to have fun.

1 ReplyEdited by iMangoUnchained: 7/31/2024 8:16:36 AMI think it’s cool they nerfed Titans into the ground and made Warlocks so mid-tier that now every lobby is 90% Hunters. I think it’s especially cool filling PVP with clones and swarms after the plan to tone down ability spam.

Where on the doll did the streamers hurt you?

6 RepliesKDA is not an indicator of skill. Someone can have a high KDA from just assists, it doesnt mean they are good. Trials is not supposed to be balanced, balanced games which have a 50% chance to win would actually kill the mode.

11 RepliesThats exactly wtf the issue is, and those who try and defend constant nerfs are the biggest indicators of a low tier, crybaby community. Its not that those who wants nerfs are "bad", they simply hate the fact they can be killed in pvp to someone else, while using they're cheesy setups. Sweats and streamers hate the idea of playing against others with similar stats as them, because then they have to actually try....like everyone else who isnt a no lifer. Meanwhile those who always whine about abilities, are almost always those who have a shotty, sniper, or hand cannon in their arsenal. Just look at the complaints for a damn smoke grenade or clones....these arent issues for anyone who doesnt run right up to opponents....

Edited by Synge_X: 7/30/2024 11:39:38 AMCrucible has gone from a 60%PVE/40%PVP split by this time in an expansion, to only 9% of the share of players(Trials being less than 3% at peak). I’ve been saying that the poor matchmaking, lobby balancing, and rampant cheating would lead to reduced player counts, but I never imagined it would get this bad, this fast.

a system like just kda would be hilariously simple, and ineffective, and easy to manipulate.

4 RepliesAnother severely negative kd player blaming everything on streamers and crying because not every playlist is SBMM (trials can never be SBMM btw). Was hoping this would be a productive post but oh well.

7 RepliesEdited by A_mo: 7/29/2024 5:22:07 PMStreamers do pay what everyone else pays for entry into what's supposedly a competition. I wonder what the numbers look like for people getting their one adept through the persistence passage and why people doing that is really seen as such a bad thing to the people that are shoveling adepts into their vaults and deleting adepts while beating people who have almost no chance of winning most of the time. The way trials is set up is just problematic from the start. And its not only lower skilled players that benefit from the artificial parts of the mode. Comp should probably be considered the more actually competitive mode whereas trials is kind of a more competitive version of IB that takes place every weekend.

It's not hard to balance? You're looking at dozens of abilities, tied-in with dozens of weapon perks and armor mods. Millions of combinations. You will never have a completely balanced pvp. Bungie knows it impossible, so they let things be really powerful for awhile before tuning them down and letting something else be powerful.
