Maybe you know this already but, maybe you don't....
Great with prismatic kits.
Just to be clear what this gun does, it holds 33 shots now without reserves, reloads itself... has a super powered rpm mode that activates from dealing or receiving dmg.
Blinds whilst doing great dmg,
And it amplifies you.
I've trying to look for great synergistic Prismatic weapons, this IS a good one.

4 RepliesEhhh I don't think ex diris makes the cut, even with moth keepers as well it's a questionable choice. It does so so damage, only blinds on kill when other legendary GLs only require hits, amplified is generally pretty easy to get on all classes

1 ReplyIt wrecks at Onslaught for anyone still doing that.

The Mothman build has been resurrected. I have to try it out at one point seeing it looked like fun. I’m a Warlock main so I crutch hard on invisibility when running my Hunter.

You’re over selling the damage just a bit I’m going to use GMs as an example: you are right about the ammo economy. Blinding is great as well, but you need a kill first. Running it with mothkeepers will override that tho. The RPM is not super fast tho lol, even when it’s ramped up. Hive boomers shoot theirs faster The damage is pretty bad tho. Yes it’s good against the trash mobs, even in GMs, and the ad clear once you get going is great, but once you get to the tankier enemies, that’s when the damage falls off BAD. But with that being said, it’s definitely a fun weapon but it’s super dependent on mothkeepers imo, and bad against tanky enemies

If it did just a bit more damage, it might be good for ad clear.

4 RepliesWow, I completely forgot about Ex Diris and the MothKeepers Wraps! I'll need to pull those from Collections for the Pathfinder challenges now; thank you for the reminder! 😁👍

1 ReplyGive you credit for all your testing of builds and weapons.

2 RepliesI would say only 10% of good weapons make the cut for GM"s. most of the weapons bungie makes are weak and just re-skinned with perk pool changes. if we had to rely on just are weapons getting through a GM then this game would end. ex diris is fun but but bungie needs to give it a major buff.

My favorite build on my Hunter is my Moth-Keepers build with Ex-Edris. It’s so much fun hurling bugs at people.

1 ReplyI’ve been a fan of witherhoard since it gives a pretty good amount of darkness energy for prismatic. I’ll clean the dust off this one and give it a try. Being able to blind enemies is one of the best supporting abilities in PvE as you slaughter everything.
